Help to break a plateau and lose 5kg in a month/two

Hello, I'm on no carbs at the moment, after a week of break from low carb, trying to break a plateau. Any tips to help me lose my next 5kg in the next months? Looks like my body is playing games with me. I have been reading about so many fitness stuff that i can't make up my mind. Help please.

PS I just lost 10kg over the last 12 weeks and 20 cm around my waist post my 3rd baby.

My hormones are a bit messed up still but i'm sure there is a way out so that I can feel confident again

According to my BMI i should be 15kgs lighter than what I am today, so long way to go.

I exercise everyday - 30 mins cardio + body exercises(crunches, leg raise etc...)

I found fasting useful to get past a plateau, though only if your baby is weaned.

If you haven't tried IF, you might want to start with that.

Thanks so much. I’ve tried the fasting too. I think my body is just getting used to certain routine at the moment. I have to probably extend my fasting but also handling 3 kids at the same time I have to find the right middle that works .

Listen to your body. Now I am fat adapted, I don't seem to have any less energy fasting than eating, as my body is fueled by fat either way.

That being said, I doubt I have the energy to carrol 3 small kids in either state! I can cycle though.

I am reading Fast800 by Michael Mosley and trying out IF 16:8 which is working for me but then I don't have 3 kids - I eat plenty of "good" fats and none of the bad carbs like white sugar, white bread and pasta and I don't miss those at all. I can't say I feel hungry either but I've only been trying this for a couple of weeks so time will tell! 😊

Good luck Tandew and as Subtle_badger says your body will tell you!

Hi there ..

Why not try to calorie count

I started to calorie count you’ll be amazed at the amount of calories that I was having .. started calorie counting last week and have lost about 10 1/2 on in 2 weeks ..😁

Good luck

Wow fizz1987 that's a fantastic result - you're absolutely right, it's amazing how many calories are actually there when you accurately measure your food! I now use an app so I can keep track, though I know some folks actually keep a notebook - either way whatever works for you is great! 😊

MyFitnessPal .. and don’t be laugh I write it down in a book also 🤪.. they are really good for keeping track ...🙂
