nose rec onstruction
I recently had a successful procedure to remove an SCC from the right side of my nose. This meant that I also had about 50% of the right side also removed. I am waiting for 9 sessions of radiotherapy and when that is over and my skin has settled I then have to make a decision on future treatment: 1

Wife getting MMR vaccine booster - isolate or not?
I'm an SLL patient, 55 years old, now about 2.5 years into remission after 6 FCR treatments. I just recovered from a recent (and thankfully mild) bout of shingles. My shingles was so mild that my GP wasn't convinced it actually was shingles! She had me tested for herpes zoster antibodies, and for good

Advice please...
My fibro always gets worse in cold weather so bath soaks are my best friends at the moment, however, my boiler and heating stopped working few days ago, I called my housing association and they fixed the heaters, but for hot water I was told its not considered emergency as you can boil kettles of water

PBC and nails / gel polish / acrylic
hi everyone, just a quick question.. I wondered has anyone had any issues with having their nails done with gel polish. I had to switch from gel polish to acrylic as my nails kept having a reaction to the gel - and often developed a fungal infection. Once I switched to acrylic they were much better

Measles
With info about measles cases increases I wondered if anyone had experience of being vaccinated against measles since RA diagnosis. I thought I was vaccinated as a child (pre MMR vaccine) but GP doesn't have a record of it.Thanks in advance for any info

Measles outbreak
Hi, not sure if I'm being silly so looking for abit of reassurance. I'm on rituximab, azathioprine and prednisolone. I'm up-to-date with vaccinations bit concerned about the measles outbreak in my area. Am I at risk due to being immunocompromised?

cellulitis
I’ve been diagnosed today with cellulitis - never had it before and knew nothing about it so it’s all been a bit of a shock. I’ve been prescribed Flucloxacillin but unfortunately, by the time I was discharged from Urgent Care, the hospital pharmacy was closed so I can’t start them until the morning

Possible shin splints?
My left shin...the outer side...feels like a lot of pressure in it. No pain, just pressure. It's worse when I'm standing still, not as bad walking about. If I flex my foot up, I really feel it. It goes from where my foot meets my leg, up towards my knee. Any ideas what it could be?

pride comes before a shin splint
Obviously
shin
splints
are a common occurrence in new runners. I think there are better exercises out there than I have been given, if anyone has experience, I’m very happy to hear advice/recommendations .

A happy start to the year, off the injury couch!
I ended up at w8 r3 with
shin
splints
, first run in 3-4 weeks. As it’s impossible to single-handedly take both the dogs and I was solo today I had to do 2 runs. Twice round the bush track, 6.4kms total, definitely much faster the second time looking at the pace.

Operations
I was just wondering if anyone has gone through an operation that's nothing to do with your liver. I have two fingers on my right hand that are completely bent over and I have no movement. The hospital gave me four options:- 1. leave it as it is. 2. A slight operation that could partially make them straight

An awesome, emotional run....
It has a special place in my heart, it was here that I did the first few wobbly runs of C25K back in 2014, giving myself
shin
splints
, but that's another story!!

Foot/mouth hand or something else??
Does anyone know what this is. It started with red burning spots then turned into patches. Then I had chicken like pox all over my body and face. Hands rashes are similar to feet. But my thumbs are going white too and thin skin. Anyone know what's happening. I'm very stressed. Doctors are not helping

Hand rash/chicken pox
Doctors are so annoying and not helpful. I have taken 2 weeks off work now. I had burning red spots on my hand then started getting patchy rashes on hands then spots over my body and face -, chciken pox. Docs said hands are different to face ( my renal consultant). Done lots of blood tests and all they
