Does anyone know what this is. It started with red burning spots then turned into patches. Then I had chicken like pox all over my body and face. Hands rashes are similar to feet. But my thumbs are going white too and thin skin. Anyone know what's happening. I'm very stressed. Doctors are not helping me. I have taken off time off work too. Doctors said it was hand foot mouth thing. But rashes are not going. Burning has stopped but why are thumbs going going like this??

Foot/mouth hand or something else??
Hi, I don't know what this is, but sure wish I did as I have something very similar. I hope I know more tomorrow as I'm seeing my consultant. Will feed back to you what they say.
Mine started about 2 weeks ago following an Iloprost infusion 2 weeks earlier for Raynauds (which didn't work).
First I had a red rash on the top of my fingers, which gradually got worse and worse. I couldn't let anything brush them as it caused exruitiating pain.
A few days later I got red spots and blister on the other side of the fingers and palms of the hands. Again, absolutely exruitiating pain. I can't do anything right now without pain - pick up stuff, use a fork and knife, wash hands...
After a bit of research, I'm quite certain it's a side effect of the Ilaprost and now very worried it could be a long term thing. Just going out in the cold causes pain. Feels like someone stabbing needles into my hands. And my finger tips sting like anything.
HI there Shine54,
Did you speak to a doctor about this?
Warm regards,
Michaella
They are not being helpful. I was told I had foot and mouth. But since then my hands are peeling? Does that mean it's getting better just going to take a while?
Hi there,
Sorry they are not very helpful!
Unfortunately, we are not medically trained at the national office so wouldn't be able to offer medical advice or comment on the healing process. It might be worth contacting 111, they may be able to offer some advice or put you in contact with a clinician?
Warm regards,
Michaella
