My fibro always gets worse in cold weather so bath soaks are my best friends at the moment, however, my boiler and heating stopped working few days ago, I called my housing association and they fixed the heaters, but for hot water I was told its not considered emergency as you can boil kettles of water. I kept explaining to them my illness and the struggle I am facing not getting my hot baths but still waiting and I dont know what to do, anyone else encountered this problem?

Sorry too read this ☹️yes hot baths are differently so helpful too us especially this time of year, im wondering if you called your doctors surgery a practioner nurse /doctor could put you in touch with someone that could call on your behalf with proof of your medical conditions even wondering if your GP would make a call? I hope someone comes on take forum with any more advice for you , glad your heating working , our boiler always goes wrong as soon as the heating goes on without fail 😟, have you a spare bowl you can soak your feet in (not the same I know but mite relax your feet and legs, just a thought , I hope something is sorted very very soon xx

Try calling your local council…I’m not 100% sure ..but I think they Licence Housing Associations…& I would imagine providing Hot Water is a condition in that Licence. I don’t know how old you are…but if you are a Senior do contact Age UK….they will have lots of information about who can help. In fact if it’s a gas heater…the company …like British Gas…who provide the gas will have all sorts of help available….when I lost heat & hot water they checked to make sure I had some other means of heat….& told me that my name had been added to a list of vulnerable customers.

A second thought…..have you looked at electric throws…..I don’t think you should lie on them…..but I have one I wrap around my back in the evening watching TV….as usual check on Amazon.

Or of course an electric under blanket on your bed….they are quite inexpensive these days.

I live on and under my extra large electric blanket as the house we moved into… the hot water tank isn’t large enough to fill the bath with hot water 🥺 so I completely feel your pain as a hot bath was my part of my daily routine in cold weather season.
