Flu Jab?
I made enquiries through Ask My GP about my flu jab as I had not heard. Was told, although I had been having the jab since 2006, since 2018/19 I was not entitled to it, and I must have got through the net, regardless of having a low immune system, taking enbrel and having RA. My meds etc. have not

Bliss
The sheer bliss of ... Radiator socks when your feet are cold. Radiator gloves when Raynauds bites. Clothes from a hot tumble dryer onto aching muscles. Brushed cotton sheets to keep the cold/heat at bay. A flask of hot water beside the bed for morning tea (or a travel kettle).

Will COVID-19 Survivors Require a Lung Transplant in the Future?
There are rare cases of patients who develop severe ARDS, experience
respiratory
failure
and are not able to come off a ventilator. In those situations, experts say they would consider a lung transplant if the patient is otherwise reasonably healthy.

It’s that time
I was not looking forward to the stage my mum is entering. She has just had her first bronchitis infection, is on antibodics and improving. The nursing home has questioned me today on what is next. Mum is really starting to struggle with her swallowing. I am spending a lot of time helping her to lean

Pneumonia and Gall bladder
Hi my dad has been in ICU with an infected gall bladder and pneumonia for the last 4 days. He’s started with a mask and now on an oxygen hood. The latest info we got was that he was on 45% oxygen. Have no idea if that’s good or bad. It is so hard not being able to visit or be with him. Feel sick with

From ana positive in past to ana negative??
I have always been ana positive in the past and my recent one was negative which puzzled the rheumatologist, as I have been suffering from increased inflammation which showed in my bloods. I have been feeling dreadful and she says it's due to increased lupus activity. Has anyone else had this happen

The drugs to fight Covid-19 are already on the market
The main Covid-related conditions that must be treated are
respiratory
failure
, cardiac failure, coagulopathy (bleeding disorder), kidney failure and systemic inflammation. Each of these gets worse as the virus continues replicating.

Blocked from return to work w/ controlled asthma?
Hi, I know many people are worried about returning to work during the current situation because they are asthmatic, but I seem to have the opposite issue - my work medical unit blocked my return because I'm asthmatic, but my asthma is totally controlled and I take one inhalation of seretide accuhaler

Trying Omeprazole
Hi, I was diagnosed as asthmatic 14 years ago after a chest infection that went on for months. I was stable with very few symptoms for 10 years then had a chest infection that triggered my asthma. I wheezed and coughed phlegm for 6 months after. Next winter another chest episode, again took months

Feels like I’m starting another chest infection again. Has anyone had same problem as respiratory team just keep giving me steroids and septrin
