Any updates on wether or not the Covid 19 flu vaccine is safe for PBC sufferers to take?

Really spooky. I emailed my consultant in Manchester Friday asking and received a reply just yesterday she responded with “it depended on which vaccine they use” !! Will try calling the foundation see if they can shine any light on the matter, also asked our local PBC advisor she told me to call the foundation as everyone is different. Be interesting to see what comes back on your posting

Since no vaccine has yet to be approved, I think this may be premature and difficult to answer?

Hi nothing is clear yet regarding the vaccine..I have just recovered from my second bout of covid-19, first one was the end of March. Both were the milder version but the first bout was much worse....I felt like I had a very bad version of flu. This second time, not so much flu but a very heavy cold....now call me old fashioned but, I have not recieved any form of vaccine so how come the second bout is less in terms of affect, unless my own immune system is finding a way to deal with the covid-19 virus.

I have asked if I can have my antibodies checked because of this twice bitten thing, but I have been refused. I wonder why.

People who have been infected twice should really stand up and start asking questions because why is its affect much less on second time covid patients...because the immune system has decided to recognize and fight it naturally.

I certainly will not be allowing anyone to put a vaccine that is this new, into my body especially not if they won't check my covid antibodies first...

Each has their own choice and I have made mine.
