Aspirin/cough med while taking methotrexate
I'll be calling Dr later, but now they're not open yet. My rhuematologist once said I shouldn't take aspirin while on methotrexate, but if I had to, I could take one. Same question for cough medicine.

Hyperhidrosis and body temp regulation issues with Hashimoto's
Hi, everyone. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced these problems with Hashimoto's or if the problems I'm experiencing are something else. I've always had issues with excessive sweating of my hands, feet, amrpits, and groin area, and my hands and feet are frequently ice cold regardless of

Enquiry about infectiousness of bronchitis
Hi all, So I’m not sure where to post this and I need some advice. Some I’ve had the flu since Monday but it has turned into suspected bronchitis. I was just wondering how long I’d be infectious with the influenza virus now? I know that the regular flu virus is 5-7 days but I’m not sure if this is

Well, that was a disaster...
Sorry to post twice in one day 😆 I just had my asthma review (phone appointment) since changing from Relvar to Symbicort. I told the nurse that the Symbicort had been working really well but I've had a flare-up in the past week and my asthma's been all over the place since getting a cold. I explained

Cough and methotrexate
I have a very tight chesty cough that is stopping me sleeping as I can't stop coughing when I lie down. I increased my methotrexate last week to 25 mg injections from tablets. Don't think this has anything to do with the cough but does anyone know what I can take to help or suppress it? Codeine suppresses

Last collection, not a very good outcome
Well, we did the collection yesterday and got 7 eggs—but then only two of them were mature, and only one of them fertilized. I am not optimistic that it will make it to blastocyst. I don't know if this had to do with the fact that I had Covid DURING the stimulation, that this was a luteal phase stimulation

Severe COPD and cycling
Husband has severe copd following a bout of double pneumonia March 2020. Finds it difficult to walk without severe breathlessness. Decided to buy him an E Bike which has assisted pedalling and he can cycle miles. Just wondered how it can be so different when most days he can’t get his socks on due to

Pneumonia update
Hello, all, as some of you may know, I was hospitalized with pneumonia 2 months ago. A ct scan was performed on my lungs the report stated that I may have pulmonary fibrosis. There are also some other concerns mentioned in the CAT scan so I went to see a pulmonologist the other day to get a second opinion

Fluid in lungs
Hi all, My Dad went into hospital in March and was diagnosed with pneumonia. He stayed in for 2 weeks and then came home to recover. Early April he had an xray and they could see fluid around one of his lungs. He had this fluid removed and it has come back. Any advice appreciated please ? x

5th Covid or seasonal flu jag
I promised to let people know when I heard about the next covid/flu jag. Just received an email from NHS Lothian to offer me an appointment on 31st May. So jag number 5 is on its way in Scotland.

Has anyone seen the Freeze the fear series on the BBC
Hi I had sever back pain yesterday and out of desperation for something to watch I put Freeze the fear with Wim Hoff on the iplayer. This is not my usual fare but it pricked my interest because I have had a long struggle with autoimmune disease and having had read articles about exposure to extreme cold

Does fibromyalgia get blamed for every ailment
I have CFS and fibromyalgia for the last 11 years and recently developed a new symptom which is quite unpleasant. I get extremely cold feet and hands and now my legs have joined in. It’s as though I’m standing in front of a cold air blast. Feels like my clothes are damp and cold. I have had very hot

1 month out from RF ablation for asymptomatic afib
Hi. I was diagnosed with afib in late 2019 at age 66 and put on an anti-coag and sotalol. I was in and out of afib quite regularly but rarely symptomatic. Three cardioversions failed to restore normal sinus rhythm (NSR) for any real length of time, so ablations were suggested (I live in the US.) Since

At a Dialysis Crossroads
I have to decide whether to get a fistula in my arm and go with hemodialysis, or go with peritoneal dialysis. I spent a couple of hours in a center talking to a couple of nurses about peritoneal dialysis and it sounds like a bad choice given its near constant presence in your life. With hemodialysis
