PSA up again after 30 days
And his Gleason was a 3+4, PSA prior to
radical
prostatectomy
was 2.4. Scans also were clear prior to prostate removal. He’s doing well lifts and works out 5 days a week he’s plant based Can anyone tell me is this still slow growing? Do you know of a scan that can detect even if PSA is under 1?

Why no mention of RLS
A long detailed and intelligent article on medical cannabis appeared in The Observer today, including a list of conditions that could be helped by its use. RLS was not on that list. Tragic.

No more prostate
Okay. I have had a robotic prostatectomy complete removal. All tests say it was isolated and I wanted to have years with my family. I'm 51 and have 4 grown kids and a 6 yo and a 2.5 yo. Lots of memories and I didnt want to miss because of hospital visits. Doctors said that I should be fully recovered

Any thoughts on my next treatment plan?
I truly appreciate any thoughts on my current situation: I had a prostatectomy seven years ago followed by radiation leading to an undetectable PSA for two years. Then, PSA came back and I went on Lupron, Zytiga and Prednisone for 9 months along with ($2800) PSMA scans at UCLA and in Phoenix and radiation

lower back pain and right hip pain especially lying in bed
I had a DEXA scan just over 2 years ago as part of breast cancer treatment. This identified I had osteoporosis in my spine, I'm not sure of the scores or exactly where but I was told my hips are fine. I have had back problems on and off for years but generally with a visit to a chiropractor and exercise

Further Update
Hi Following on from my previous update, I have now had a conversation with my GP regarding my follow up Dexa Scan result and it did not go well. The advice was still to take AA and this was put across very strongly. My GP is very good and I know she has my best interest at heart but I still declined

Advice on treatment for osteoporosis.
Hi, I’m new here and this is my first post. I was diagnosed with osteoporosis in 2015 after I sustained a right hip fracture following a fall. DEXA scan showed T.score -3.1 spine; -2.6 femoral neck; -2.9 left hip. I was started on Adcal-D3 and alendronic acid. I stopped the Alendronate after 6 months

Difficulty sitting after Prostate Surgery !
I just had
radical
prostatectomy
11 days ago. A lot of the pain has subsided more or less, but I feel if I sit for an extended period of time, the area is too tender and gets inflamed and painful. Bumby car rides are really challenging.

New GP
Thought I would post an update as today I had a meeting with my new GP. She was very knowledgeable about PMR, had done a thesis on PMR while working in Edinburgh years ago. She praised this forum very highly and congratulated me on finding it so promptly, said the experts on this forum would keep me

Active treatment (surgery, radiation) vs Active Monitoring?
I started asking lots of questions, and the oncology nurse sent me a 10-year study that followed 3 groups of men randomly assigned to get RP (
radical
prostatectomy
), EBRT (external beam rad therapy), and nothing (AM, Active Monitoring).

Gleeson 9 (5+4), about to get PSA result around 1 year after surgery
Had a subtotal colectomy for bowel cancer in 2017. T1. seems clear apart from radiologists reporting 'striations' in fat in the abdominal wall. Had a prostatectomy in mid-2018. Extensive cancer in large-sized prostate with extension to lymph nodes and seminal vesicle - affected nodes and areas removed

Cialis max dose
Anyone used Cialis, more than 20 mg? 7 months after Davinci prostatectomy. Hoping for a return to normalcy, but not yet. Also will use Bimix (but not on days I take more than my daily Cialis dose of 7.5 mg per day). This is my first post, so be gentle!
