From incontinence to an artificial urinary sphincter.
This is my first post here. I had a prostatectomy just over three years ago. The removal of my prostate solved three problems and created two more. Gone was the urinary retention and trouble urinating. Also gone was the prostate cancer. What I got were the two side effects from a prostatectomy, erectile

Low-serum testosterone and high-chromogranin A are associated with high-grade prostate cancer and higher pathological stages of the disease.
All the patients underwent
radical
prostatectomy
. RESULTS: We subdivided the sample into two homogeneous groups, Group A with Gleason score ≤7 (3+4), and Group B with Gleason score ≥7 (4+3).

THC Cannabis
Hi all, Currently watching an interesting prog on BBC2 about medical cannabis and it’s sent me on an internet hunt for things relating to cannabis and asthma treatment. I’ve read that THC (as opposed to CBD) is best for calming asthmatic lung spasms, backed up by this study which actually found CBD to

SRT Treatment for Prostate Cancer
I had a prostatectomy 3 years ago since then psa has climb to .09. I was thinking of putting off SRT until reaching .2 I am concerned about the potential side effects of radiation. My pathology was G6 pt2c with positive margins at right apex and right lateral. Decipher score was .38 low risk. Any thoughts

Could not remove my prostate and the cancer!
In March 2017, I got sepsis and e-coli just 3 days after my prostate biopsy. My Biopsy results said I had stage 4 advanced Prostate Cancer. Gleason score 4+4. My pic line for the antibiotics I had to take at home, moved 3 weeks later and I had to go to the emergency room. The doctors told me I had

Marijuana + Spasticity
My legs are crazy stiff even WITH my baclofen pump.
Pain is NOT an issue
, only function, so my neurologist recommended medical marijuana. If anyone is having success managing spasticity using THC/CBD, please reach out with info/dosing! Thank you!

Medical marijuana side effects
My regular family doctor suggested I try medical marijuana. My neurologist would not advise it. I do have the card and went to get some today from the dispensary. She gave me the smallest amount to try but I have not done so as I am concerned about side effects. I am looking for it to start my tremors

Medical Marijuana
My Psychiatrist has recommended trying Medical marijuana for my severe anxiety and panic attacks. I am a little scared to try this. Has anyone had experience with this and can you still use your antidepressant with it?

Where in being without metastasis means "Watchful Waiting"
Hi There, I've posted now and then, and let me give a refresher and update on my own particular situation; Diagnosed in 2009 as Gleason 9 and PSA of 15. Almost immediate surgery to remove the prostate via robotically assisted prostatectomy. Clean in the margins. 1 year later rising PSA so 2010

A BIT OF A WARNING ON USING MEDICAL MARIJUANA (MM) AS A SLEEP AID AND THE USE OF MELATONIN 123 AS ANOTHER OPTION FOR SLEEP PLUS TWO OTHERS
In a previous reply to a thread about using MM as a sleep aid, I mentioned that although I did not think it was addictive, I felt that it could easily become a regular part of your going to sleep routine and in that sense, possibly habit forming, so I suggested mixing it up with the "melatonin 123" method
