AMS-800
I had
radical
prostatectomy
on 3/23/23 followed by 8 weeks of radiation. Went to urologist specialist and he claims the only option for me is the AMS 800( the so called gold standard). I have to make a decision soon. Can anyone offer any experience with this device? Will my exercise be hampered?

Month 5 of ORGOVYX
After
radical
prostatectomy
and radiation treatment, I’m now on ORGOVYX and my testosterone has decreased from 672 to 11. I’ll be coming off the medication in one month. If anyone has used ORGOVYX, do you stop cold turkey or is there a tapering off of the drug? Thank you.

10-year update still shows no benefit to ART vs early SRT
ART
= adjuvant radiation therapy, within 6 months after
radical
prostatectomy
(RP)
early SRT
= salvage radiation therapy, after PSA ≥ 0.1ng/ml or 3 consecutive rises. Median was 0.2 ng/ml. Median 1 ½ years after RP.

Just Nod If You Can Hear Me
I’m hearing from several doctors and a counselor who swear there are men who have maintained size, resolved incontinence, and restored erectile function (albeit with pills, injections, prosthetics) following nerve sparing

Blood in urine
I had a robotic
radical
prostatectomy
three months ago. In the first few weeks after surgery, my urine was clear, but then I started showing blood on my pads during walks. This has continued ever since and I'm now at 12 weeks after surgery. These are pink spots, not clots.

PSA rising after salvage treatment
I had a
radical
prostatectomy
in 2021 followed by salvage radio therapy. My psa levels have been rising slowly since then and I wondered if there was any advice as to what it might mean and if there is anything I should be doing at this point?

Prostate Cancer PSA is detectible again
My prostate cancer was diagnosed in 2019, and I had a
radical
prostatectomy
at Vanderbilt. In early 2023, my PSA went up to 0.12. I underwent a PET scan, which returned negative. However, an MRI revealed a small area at the prostatectomy suture site.

Abiraterone, Prednisone, Apalutamide combo Improves Prostate Cancer Outcomes, Leaves HRQoL Unaffected
Oncological outcomes improved with the addition of abiraterone acetate (Zytiga) plus prednisone (AAP) and apalutamide (Erleada) after
radical
prostatectomy
and did not significantly affect health-related quality of life.

Effect of Age on Treatment Outcomes
The opposite is true for
radical
prostatectomy
(RP) treatment. Namely, the older you are, the worse the outcome is after RP. https://www.redjournal.org/article/S0360-3016(23)07930-0/fulltext

Is it PSA recurrence or not...
My friend had a
radical
prostatectomy
a year ago. Since then his monthly PSA results were stable, at 0.006 3 months ago his PSA went from 0.006 to 0.012, then the next month to 0.029. His MO wanted to see the third month's results in order to consider salvage radiation therapy.

help for arousal incontinence
I'm 58 and had a nerve-sparing
radical
prostatectomy
9 weeks ago. My recovery has gone fairly smoothly - I had no stress urinary incontinence after the catheter came out and haven't really needed pads, and my erections are slowly starting to recover (been taking Cialis 20mg/day).

Prostate cancer radiotherapy side effects.
I’m a seventy seven year old who had a
radical

eight years ago. Following one of my regular PSA tests the result showed, after scans in September 2023, a return in the prostate bed and adjacent lymph nodes.

Failed RP & SRT; Negative PSMA PET
I had a
radical
prostatectomy
that failed and then salvage radiation therapy that appears to have failed as well. A recent PSMA PET scan showed no signs of recurrent prostate cancer or metastases.
