Radical ED issues post radical prostatectomy
Since my
radical
prostatectomy
in June 2014 I have had very challenging ED issues and would greatly appreciate any help or information to help ease the anxiety isolation and lack of confidence that I am experiencing. So far my surgeon and friends have said my only recourse is a penile implant.

Is it true? Alcohol and/or Marijuana open BBB blood brain barrier?
LOVE your explanation, Prayingforacure !! It is soooo true! My parky spouse is a retired pastor. RE: drinking alcohol. Our nurse manager says alcohol (as does medical marijuana) opens the BBB (blood brain barrier) allowing Levodopa through for better effectiveness. One has to wonder: WHY don't doctors

My prostatectomy was on 1/26/18 (almost 4 weeks ago). They removed 28 lymph nodes during surgery, 8 of which had cancer. There was extra capsular extension, seminal vesicle invasion, perineural nerve invasion, and positive margins near the bladder neck. Tumor in over 80% of the prostate, the vast majority

Salvage radiation worries
Thirteen months ago I had a
radical
prostatectomy
. Current psa was negligible three months after the operation and is now .218. My doctor is considering salvage radiation. Has anyone had experience with Sloan Kettering or Mayo in Rochester with salvage radiation?

I am early enough to try alternative treatment
I am a 68 yr old Vietnam veteran. Last summer my PSA surpassed the threshold to 4.6. I was referred to a urologist who performed a biopsy. I was diagnosed with PCa, T1c. My Gleason score was a 6. My treatment options were explained to me and I chose active surveillance. That's when I began researching

First post op appointment next week.
Back into Memorial Sloan Kettering in NYC next week for my post op consultation. My prostatectomy was 6 weeks ago. A million questions to ask but I will probably go blank on the day if I don't write them down in advance! I guess I have all the routine questions around leakage, ED ( not happy with Sildenafil

post-prostatectomy incontinence and ED
I had a
radical
prostatectomy
in April 2016 performed by Dr. Jean Joseph at Univ. Of Rochester, Strong Memorial Hospital. I was very fortunate that this very skilled and expert surgeon was able to spare my nerves so I am not impotent but still have some degree of ED.

Painful rigidity
My name is Kevin and I'm writing for my wife Katie. She was diagnosed in 2010. She is 58 and having extreme rigidity in her left arm. It is really painful for her. Does anyone have a recommendation for some relief? She is taking Sinemet, Ropinirole and just recently started trying medical marijuana.

New to the group
In March 2014 I had
radical
prostatectomy
. The post operative PSA of .5 lead to IMRT radiation treatment between August and October of 2014. Post radiation PSA never got lower than .2. I have been following the progression of the PCa ever since.

Feeling better!!
I am just writing a little note for encouragement.I was helped by people on this board when I was first diagnosed 15 months ago with PA and Hashimotos and had a TSH of 118 ( yep 118). I know I am a very short way into my journey but I feel like I have come on leaps and bounds. I have a TSH of 0.46 and

Pacey Cuff for Male Urinary Incontinence
I want to let men know that there is a new device available to assist with the management of urinary incontinence, especially post prostatectomy UI. I am intrigued by this product's claim that blood flow remains normal while it is being used. This product was designed and developed by a vascular surgeon

Going to the gym
I’ve put on some weight since my prostatectomy, and it’s time to head to the gym. Since I leak even under routine activity, I’m concerned using the equipment will cause more leakage. The last thing I want is to pee on the equipment. I need “undergarments” but how do I use the locker room and change into

17 years of various treatments
Hi Y'all, Regarding my husband, I have dragged him through 17 years of various treatments--all failed. However, he is still alive and kicking after all these years and we are grateful for that. He has lived a mostly normal, unaffected life through it all. He had a laparoscopic prostatectomy done

Starting to panic
Well I had another bone scan (prior scan negative) due to some lower back pain and it came back positive for metastasis in the left proximal femur. I have not started any treatment yet since my prostatectomy Dec.6. I meet with the Radiation oncologist March 1st and then with my Urologist for the treatment

Medical Cannabis, a future hope
It seems to me most companies do not really offer descent CBD Products for sufferers of different health issues, CBD and THC products and I would like to share my experience and learn from people who may have some useful knowledge in this respect.
