Rash
I have Left leg lymphedema after prostatectomy 3 years ago. I’m on long term antibiotics for cellulitis. Sometimes after a long walk I get a rash in the shin area especially if the weather is warm . Any ideas ?

Breast Tenderness post Eligard
It's been a year since my last 3-month Eligard injection (following
radical
prostatectomy
and salvage radiation) and my PSA level in late November has stayed undetectable while my testosterone level has risen to 13.2 nmol/L. Recently my breasts have become quite tender.

Kidney problems
I have recently started Anastrazole and Adcal and Alendronic Acid tablets for bone density. My cancer is progressing and I don't believe the Anastraxole is having any positive effect. I also have a morphine patch for pain relief. In the last week I find that I am not urinating as frequently as usual

Survival after Radical Prostatectomy versus Radiation Therapy in High-Risk and Very High-Risk Prostate Cancer
This just appeared in today's email. Apparently a database study of patients treated 2010-2016. At 5 years out, RP less cancer-specific mortality than RT.....the most significant advantage for very high-risk men. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/34555930/ Not a randomized study, but will we ever have

Second Guessing Surgery Decision
I'm posting this in the Advanced PCa forum as this involves potentially assuming I'm going to need to deal with Advanced Prostate Cancer. The problem with treatment decisions is no one ever knows at your early stage if you have micrometastases outside your prostate. My biopsy results, 2 months ago

Five years cancer-free!
Actually this is a bit late. As of February 2022, I am 5 years cancer free after robotic laparoscopic prostatectomy with Gleason 4/3 and stage 2 prostate cancer. My latest PSA showed <0.1 ng/ml., i.e., undetectable. I am so glad I chose to have the prostatectomy and not radiation. I have required no

Two Years Ago Today
Two years ago today I was sitting alone in a hotel room waiting to have my Prostatectomy at 6:am the next day. COVID was rampant, my wife was not even allowed in the hospital with me. At the time I thought I was going to beat this thing with the surgery, only to find out 10 days later that the pathology

Cocktail a cause perhaps?
I’ve been on Prednisolone for 2 years this month starting at 15mg steadily going down until January when I stopped at 1mg . It wasn’t long before I had to back up to 5 mg . I am also on weekly Risondodate for bone protection as well as two blood pressure tablets 15mg candesartan and 2.5 mg indapamide

Best Prostatectomy Surgeons in Southern California?
Any feedback on surgeons in SoCal would be appreciated. Especially Dr. Reiter (UCLA), Dr. David Lee (UCI) and Dr. Moses Kim (Hoag).

Orchiectomy or ADT
I'm 80 years old with ED since my prostatectomy. Both surgery an radiation have failed to cure my PC so, I find myself at a fork in the road. Do I have an Orchiectomy or use ADT medications. from what I have read, Orchiectomy has shown to have better result than ADT in terms of long term survival plus

Update: results of a recent PSMA PETscan
A quick synopsis of my history: an 18+ year journey:
radical
prostatectomy
in August 2003. PSA following surgery was 0.1. It slowly rose to 0.4 over a period of 11 years. Following a more rapid rise to .6, I had salvage radiation in 10/2015. Unfortunately, it failed. PSA rose to 5.3 in 4/2019.

Can we take AD-cal at the same time as Pred?
Greetings one and all. At some time in the last year I read, somewhere (??) that I shouldn't take my Pred at the same time as my Adcal - but I now I can't find where I read it. Has anyone any knowledge on this and, if it is true, what is a reasonable time lapse between the two drugs? Thank you.
