Advice on radical hysterectomy
Hey, So after major op 18 months ago I’m still suffering. I currently have the Mirena but that’s not making a blind bit of difference. I’m 33 and have 3 children. My questions are about the surgical menopause that comes afterwards. What will happen to Sex? It’s painful enough as it is but will I lose

Government response to GPs prescribing marijuana petition.

Adcal and blood test monitoring
Hi I was diagnosed with osteoporosis in September 2018 following a Dexa scan. The main issue is my right hip but other areas classed as osteopenia. I completed steroid treatment for PMR but due to this and menopause my bone density has been affected. I took Alendronic Acid for a year and stopped it in

Medical Cannabis for Pain Management in Cancer
I am currently a Stage IV NSCLC Cancer Survivor is looking for guidance and input from anyone who is incorporating Medical Cannabis into their treatment regimen, particularly for pain. NOTE: I personally do not feel there is enough research that shows it can be curative as a treatment cancer

Considering the side effects, is post prostatectomy salvidge radiation, along with hormone therapy, worth the risks?
I'm 78 and self employed. PSAT rose to .3. Went back to City of Hope where prostatectomy was done 5 years ago. One doctor wanted radiation and Lupron. Another doctor said radiation alone was good.

Hormone therapy for post prostatectomy cancer recurrence.
I have been reading that hormone therapy, including Lupron, can cause cognitive decline. Has anyone heard of this, or had experience with this? Thanks

Marijuana
I have posted something similar to this before, but I'll expand on it slightly. I used to love smoking weed back in the day. Loved it, couldn't imagine life without it. I always saw the whole "medical marijuana" as just a cop out for people to get stoned. Then I stopped for about 18 years. But the

Take your time before deciding
The only times I ever hear patients regret the initial treatment decision (whether prostatectomy, radiation, active surveillance, or ablation) is when they didn't take the time to investigate all their options before deciding. Even very high risk prostate cancer (non-metastatic) is slow to progress.

CBD/THC
We live in NY about one hour north of NYC. I’m thinking that some CBD/THC would help my husbands discomfort from all the treatments he is beginning as well as whatever he is experiencing from the PC. Best source for medical marijuana in NY? Any experience with it? Thanks! A

Calcium/vitD
When I was first diagnosed I was given Adcal by the specialist GP, I took these for a month, when I saw my GP she said she had a better calcium supplement that you only have to take once a day. She gave me theical-D3 1000mg/880iu chewable tablets. They contain less calcium than the adcal. Does anyone

Rising PSA, biopsy, possible surgery, sex etc. The journey continues...
I am wondering if anyone on here has had a similar experience of a rising PSA post-
radical
prostatectomy
and if so, what did you do? Thanks again for all the support. In other news...lol.

Gleason 9 PSA 666 Dx 2010
They told me I'd no make it this long, maybe 5 years if I did everything they told me to do. That being unacceptable I decided not to do everything they told me to do. I started Lupron back in 2011 after surgery. Post surgical tests were all great, but PSA never came down under 66. They could not explain

Intro
My husband, 68 years old, was diagnosed last April and had surgery in June. He was told to wait as his psa was 6.3 up from 4.5 a year before. He had a biopsy anyway and had a gleason score of 8. Urologist wanted radiation. He opted out of that and went to Mayo, had a prostatectomy and bladder
