Severe reaction to FCR
I posted a while ago regarding treatment options. In the end I chose FCR rather than entering the Flair trial as my markers met with a good outcome from FCR. Well, after one round it has been stopped as I had such a severe reaction to the treatment. 3 hospital stays for neutropenia and 1 hospital stay

Dad is losing his battle.
I’m so scared. Dad is getting palliative care at home. Every day he is deteriorating. New challenges. He’s breathless, low Hb, low platelets, fluids in his pleural cavity, lymph nodes are swollen, oedema, he coughs all the time. I’m besides myself with anxiety. I can’t bear to see him like that. This

B12 refused until blood test results come back!!!
Hi, should have been having my 8 weekly injection tomorrow, have been told that there is a new protocol, they are insisting that a serum b12 test should be done, if this too high then no b12 injections. But two months ago, I was on Folic Acid and Iron Tablets, even explained that hospital diagnosed

Should I get a blood transfusion?
I just had a port put in a couple of days ago... but after reading the CLL sites, I am having second thoughts about having the blood transfusion. I didn't realize there would be any risks in getting the enriched blood... I am not having anything but feeling "tired' so much of the time... but that could

Life beyond ITU
Hi everyone, so I’m new to this group so this is my first post. My key message is no matter how bleak things look keep fighting, life changing events can open new horizons. I am very lucky having received first class care and surrounded by caring family and friends. After 10 years of health service encounters

4 months post transplant.
Hello to everyone, I am as always awoken each day with a grateful heart. Truly, I feel so blessed to have been so lucky to have my transplant. I have faced a few tiny hurdles to leap over since the transplant. Would you mind if I ask this amazing community a few questions? In the hope that someone

In hospital again
Hi lovely ladies Hope everyone is coping as well as possible. I was pleased to finish my 6th chemo on 25/7 despite it nearly being cancelled because all my bloods were very low. They eventually decided to continue and although it ended up a really long day I was glad it was all done and dusted. However

I'm new here and recently diagnosed with AIH but managing treatment is made more tricky as I live for most of the year in France so language is a bit of a problem. My own GP is very good and eager to improve his English so he will talk to me in English

Home from the hospital!
Finally came home from the hospital yesterday after losing a lot of blood from my subchorionic haematoma. Luckily It slowed just before needing a transfusion, I'm now on high does iron and severely anaemic and bed bound basically 😂 oh the irony that my body couldn't bleed by itself when not pregnant
