Increase in PSA during Taxotere?

In the last few months- post 3 more taxotere infusions after liver Mets were discovered in March- keeping in mind this is the second time I have had taxotere- first in 2016-

PSA has really climbed to 44 from about 8-

However Alk Phos down and hemoglobin remains at same level which normally goes down triggering blood transfusion. Happy about that!

Seeking feedback from those who have seen PSA increase on taxotere with sharp PSA doubling time .

My PSA started climbing after #4 taxotere, added Xtandi and it went back to 25% drop per treatment....after taxotere was finished (9 cycles) had to cut Xtandi acct side effect were making me an invalid.....now on 80 mg/day for last year and a half..

Are the liver mets shrinking?

Myhubby58 is starting on taxotere on Monday morning..l hope it helps him. He is always in pain and his psa has went up 93.

Hope the chemo works well. 2 years is a long journey. Most of us had just annoying manageable side effects. Wishing you well.

Taxotere is well tolerated here-

I also have Mets to liver-

If there is an office for Ga Cancer Specialists in Augusta I highly recommend the practice.
