Rehab
Hi everyone, since I last posted my husband has moved into rehab, it has totally overwhelmed him as he has spent 6 months in a room on his own and now he is in with 5 other men. He's sleeping loads. Some days the staff try to do his physio and he won't entertain them at all. This is so important to

Muscle Spasms
I had what I thought was a pulled muscle and they xrayed at Christie's, this lasted couple of days it's turned into agony. It starts like a wave that builds up around my shoulders, my neck and tingling, numbness and pain down my left arm. The pain is practically to half of my body back and front, but

Anyone tried Collagen?
Was talking to my physio who also has IBS and she told me I should try taking Collagen powder. I have been doing some reading on it and seen that it not only helps hair and nails but in some studies it has been shown to help improve joint pain as well as GI issues in people with IBS. I just wondered

Back to the beginning?
Morning! I’ve been resting up for four weeks after an injury. Legs working well now, if a little stiff around the knee area. I’ve been doing knee strengthening exercises. Thing is, with an OK from the physio, I did a short run a few days ago. I went back to W5R1 (I graduated in April). It went well

Neuro surgeon appointment and CCAS ?
Hello friend’s, I had an appointment with a neuro surgeon yesterday I wasn’t hopeful of anything different than what I had been told before. But I was hopeful of some sort of news that would give me some hope. But the realization soon kicked in once we were five minutes in the room that all hope had

Wife had visit from physio at 8:30, left her a bit light-headed, then call from hospital to ask if appointment Thursday at 10:30 OK. We have an almost 2 1/2 hour drive to hospital so early appointments not good. so we will go to Toulouse tomorrow and avail ourselves of grand-duaghter`s flat, only 20

Eye post-op
All appears to be OK after wife`s op. Still a sore throat from having tube down to suck up muck from airways. An hour after she was back in room after op, physio turned up and spent almost an hour with her. Serious pressing on chest for 10 mins or so, then 10 minutes to recover. Stayed a second night

Endo or just normal menstrual symptoms?
Hiya So… heres my story. During my periods I usually get really bad vomiting and nausea followed with shoulder pain. I always thought this was normal after years of battling with my GP and being told that having a baby will sort it (sigh). 2 weeks ago I couldn’t move my right arm it was soooo bad I

eye operation
My wife has now had op and all seems to be OK, although she is in hospital for 2nd night. Really good physio came after op to clear her lungs. Then, student nurse came and laid her on her back which led to incresed beed from nose. Op BTW was to create a new tear duct. All this means that I have gone

Overpronation
I finished C25k a couple of years ago and had been running 5k and 3k most weeks. Last September I had a gait analysis and got my 3rd pair of Brooks. I had some inserts made too. In October I was laid low with gluteal tendinitis and didn’t run for 6 months. I’ve started C25k again and am repeating runs

Chiropractor, Physio or Osteopath?
I have asked this question on the c25k forum and been signposted here. I've been running for 30 minutes 2-3 times a week for almost 2 yrs but in April my mid to lower back 'went'. I've been seeing a chiropractor who has really helped and I am back running but don't seem to be getting the root cause,
