Breaking both elbows was a big setback
I think maybe I need some
physiotherapy
to get the shoulders and elbows moving better. My energy is improving and my blood tests have improved with the Rinvoq . Sorry this is so long. It has been a rough go, but I have managed to keep up my spirits, and now it is Spring.

Holidays
Wife has just had last physio session before we hitch up the caravan. All being well she will be OK for about 2 weeks. With holidays in mind thought that photos from past excursions might be of interest. Today`s is from our favourite capital city, Lisbon. So many UK visitors head to France and Spain

One week before my 1st HM, but it's been complicated...
A week ago I went to the physio because I had painful calves following a soleus injury, which I thought was better. She said they were just stiff & gave me stretches and the all clear for the HM, so I went away happy. On Monday, at school, in a room full of 60 year 11s I tripped over a bin 😭 In my

hello! a very gapped update. I'd be a terrible blogger.
hi folks! first and foremost. thank you all for being here. I've lurked and read the pinned things and the signposts and as much as i can find. it was about a year and a half ago that pain started in my hips, and it was last October when the gp was confident about it being pmr enough to start corticosteroids

Week 5 Run 3
Well that was a mental battle. Right up until I laced up my trainers I was still undecided as to whether to repeat Week 5 run 2 for the 3rd time or go for Run 3, which was the big step up to a single 20 min run. I hadn’t run for a week due to having a bad cold, would that affect my run? Could I do it

So I did couch to 5k just over a year ago, was comfortably running 3 x 5k a week, then I suffered a knee injury - which I had an X-ray and physio - it is mainly arthritis. had my lesson in physio this morning. Caravan almost ready to get away Monday only until following Sunday as wife has/had eye op planned. Telephone call this morning to say op put back one week. So, do we go away as planned or go for nearly two weeks? Two weeks not as we had originally planned as not

No sunshine this morning so photo not as bright as I would have liked. Certainly no prizes for knowing the answer, although I expect one or two of you might be surprised. It towers over our house which is behind the tree. Not only have I had camera out but also had lessons from the physio in how to

I can’t afford any
physiotherapy
at this time and trying to be motivated to do the at home stretches and exercises is hard when I’m in so much pain and have little motivation. I can’t lay or sit in so many positions that used to bring me comfort.

Week 8 Run 2
Rain was bouncing of the ground this morning so this was the first time since starting c25k where I actually wondered... Do I even have shorts that still fit me? It's a bit of nuisance trying to keep track bottoms from ending up round your knees once they're soaked. There is one pair but hmmm... I

Holiday - at last
My wife had to cancel eye op for end of April as we both had Covid, so had to put off planned holiday until further notice. Delay only till end of May (we are in france) so quick change and after her physio session next Monday off withe the caravan until Sunday, so that she is back for physio Monday.

Reocurring back pain because of OCD?
of
physiotherapy
, I was corrected. My glutes and core became stronger, I was doing proper technique at the gym and my back pain reduced to pretty much non-existent (I was feeling it only after workouts and it was like 2/10).

Switch from Azithromycin to Doxycycline
Hi, I have severe asthma and pseudomonas infection for which I’ve been put back on Colomycin nebs following an infection that wouldn’t resolve, but did after I asked my GP if we could try a course of cipro (they didn’t try that first as sputum sample didn’t show pseudomonas). I’ve had to switch from

Week 7 Run 3
Yesterday morning was final run of week 7 and, despite taking a few attempts to get out due to various interruptions, it was up there with best runs I've had. Extra rest day in-between helped clear up the tenderness from the physio visit and pain on inside of calf was barely noticeable when running

Dilator vs. therapy wand for tight pelvic muscles
I was wondering if any of you have recovered from chronically tight pelvic floor muscles. I'm using a dilator currently and going twice weekly to a good physical therapist who gives me internal therapy. I've been at this for months and I have improved but the tightness and pain is stubbornly persisting
