Tens Machine
hi everyone I have had sciatica for nearly four weeks, excruciating pain in calf and lower back. Cocodamol, osteopath, physio and GP but no relief. I have ordered a tens machine and wondered if anyone else has used one and if it’s ok to use with AbFib. Thanks

GTPS?
Physio appointment for hip pain after waiting 3 months and she is wondering if I have what used to be bursitis, now called GTPS. Doesnt think my symptoms fit PMR now. I haven't had a blood test since diagnosis so thinks what I thought was a flare wasn't. Thinks I need to wean off steroids but I'm

physio
saw Phsio today said that yes I’d overdone at it was delayed muscle soreness. He said he has spoken with a rhumi to understand pmr better. He said to go slowly little steps they is no point in sorting one problem to create another so we have a better understanding now. He’s told me to cut all my exercises

New diagnosis and brain dump.
Bit of a long one but wanted to get my journey written out and have a bit of a brain dump. Recently been diagnosed. I have had stiff joints for many years. when originally referred to rheumatology 6-7 years ago, it was mostly in my larger joints, which I noticed when exercising as they would click.

Posterior tibialis tendonopathy
This is the official diagnosis from the physio at the GP surgery yesterday! The tendon supports the foot arch but is weak or damaged, so my arches are collapsing and the inner ankle bone is pressing on my running shoes, causing the pain and swelling. The other structures in my feet are compensating

Super Slow Resistance Training: 5 Exercises. One Set. Once a Week
One set of each of 5 exercises. Done very slowly to the point of complete failure in less than two minutes. And done no more often than once a week. Can it be that this is actually better and more effective for maintaining the highest level of muscle mass and strength compared to traditional resistance

Affected by Heat?
It's been 29c in the south east today and it has badly affected my pmr like last week (39c). Went shopping early as ok, but as it got hotter my hips got stiffer and stiffer. I did my physio exercises to strength the glutes early no problem. By mid afternoon I felt really stiff in the hips but by

Physio think it might be bursitis in my hip so need to rest it for a while and do exercises to strengthen muscles. So I’ll plump up the cushions for a week or two and enjoy reading all the posts on here to keep me updated
