Pfizer jab PMR
Hi All I’ve just been diagnosed with PMR my crp was 105, my symptoms virtually disappeared after 4 hours of taking 15mg of prednisolone last Saturday and things are nearly back to normal. I was a relatively fit and healthy 56 year old female. 14 months ago I started to get aches and pains on waking

Disconnected, Dissociated & In Discomfort 😞
My hip problem has reared it's ugly head in the last 2 weeks and I'm thrust back into chronic fatigue and pain from the nerve damage and degenerative disc disorder that plagues the quality of my life 24/7/365. The pain from the tear in the labrum of my left hip, kinda like a torn meniscus in the knee

Light at the end of the tunnel.
Another Physio and gym day today. There is light at the end of the tunnel. Yes a little jumping today as well as the usual exercises along with some new ones. Strength Plate testing both legs improved although the injured one not as much as would of liked. And today I got on the treadmill first couple

A couple more 45 minute walks
Yesterday was another 45 minute walk following the same route as the previous days so I didn't take any pictures but at least I didn't get soaked on this one !It felt a little tougher than my previous walk but I think because I had been to a physio appointment the evening before and was shown some more

Things might be looking up?
Just an update... Following a flare up of suspected pericarditis (Following myocarditis) recently I was put back on colchicine about 4 weeks ago. The pain is less frequent, and less severe. I'm sleeping much better, and I can sit back on the sofa and lie on my back in bed - if only for a short while

physio
I have been designated a RA physio …. What !!! I hear you shout. Yes could have blown me down with a feather thought they were extinct. She was lovely and understood me completely. Appointment was an hour and a half . I’m having multiple problems but she asked what I would like to concentrate on first

Magic plan week 3 run 1 x NRC “A New Run”
Today is a run rest day having been out yesterday and I’d planned a nice gentle swim. Having arrived at the pool sans swimming costume (oops) I thought it was best to do my recovery activity in the coffee shop instead. So here’s yesterday’s run report… The plan at the moment is to build back to 10k

Don't trust the weather app!!! 💦🌩️⚡😐
Today was another 45 minute walk along the same route as I took on Sunday. It's a nice walk along mostly single track roads which are nice and quiet. My intention is to get my walking up to a consistent 45 minutes at a reasonable intensity before re starting C25K. This would have happened sooner of course

lower back pain
Hie everyone, Been suffering from lower back pain for almost 10 years had an MRI scan then and was told it was a disc which had moved slightly and rubbing on nerve doctors advised no need for op as it will make it worse the hope was it was going to go back into position with time but the pain increased

I have been on this journey of chronic pelvic pain for 3 years now . I had 2 surgeries trying to fix my PN based on findings of imaging . The surgeries did nothing to help at all. I work in the medical field myself so I thought that there absolutely HAD to be something structurally wrong with me. The

A right royal run!
There’s been slow progress in the injury front. The exercises are continuing. Pilates is continuing. Zumba is continuing at a much reduced intensity. The runs are building slowly. There are lambs in the fields which always cheers me up! After a couple of glorious pain free runs, I had a shocker on

Lansoprazole and prednisolone
At a medication review last week, the pharmacist at my local GP surgery mentioned that I should perhaps be taking lansoprazole to protect my stomach so that has now been added to my increasing list of medications. As a bit of background, I was diagnosed with PMR in November 2022 and put on 15mg prednisolone

Hello, my little injury couch!
My soleus calf muscle has been getting worse over the last week or so, as described in a post over at https://healthunlocked.com/strengthandflex/posts/149451386/have-you-been-neglecting-your-soleus . I’m not sure what I did to it, but it is still aching and I hobble a little when walking, as stretching
