Moo-ving forwardsā¦
Yesterday evening I decided to go out for an easy paced run. Still a bit concerned about my knee, I planned not to be too far from home in case walking (hobbling!) back was needed. MrU came for the warm up walk. Longer than usual-a full mile. It was such a perfect evening for it. Bright and edging

Iām struggling a bit with my running at the moment. My head wants to with all this glorious weather but my body is not playing ball. usually Iām a alternate days runner but Iām finding it hard to run more than once a week. Mainly due to A the liver cyst Iām waiting to have removed at last and B the Bursitis

I am a new to all this...
It took a year for me to be diagnosed and it was a physio who listened to me describe my symptoms and said I had PMR. Don't get me wrong my GP was doing blood tests and I even had a hospital scan. The blood results showed signs of inflammation and the scan nothing. I don't need to detail the symptoms

Trigger warning: Flavors of grief
As I move thru this life I've realized there are different flavors of grief. People I knew casually as friends, relatives that passed when I was too young to realize what was going on, close friends, close relatives, and parents. And another form of grief it took me years to identify as grief, relationships

New GP, new hope!
So old surgery were downright neglectful. New surgery - referring to heptology, rheumatology, counselling and physio! Redoing stool samples, and bloods, probable endoscopy. But, I do feel I have been listened to - finally!

Stay on the IC extendedš¬
This time, it's peroneal tendonitis (no, me neither š¤š). Hi gang, those who know my history will know that I've spent a lot of time unable to run with one thing and another - breaking my ankle in the first lockdown being the most dramatic event. Well things started looking up this year and I got to

Stretching?
I am pretty active. I noticed that stretching makes my walking gait worse. I have done plenty of physical therapy and personal training so I know my form is correct. I always warm up prior to stretching. Does anyone else have any experience with this? It is frustrating because I think stretching is

Physio and imject MTX
Feeling upbeat after an appointment at the Rheumy clinic. Firstly I had a go at injecting MTX and happily that was easy to do and I didn't feel anything apart from a slight sting feeling about 30s after injecting. Then I went on the to physiotherapist who was lovely and has given some very gentle exercises

Iāve been on 1 daily Azithromycin since 1 December last, worked well, so Iām disappointed to have to start yesterday my rescue pack 750mg Ciprofloxacin, 2 daily for 14 days. Have to recognise though when theyāre needed, and keep good supply, fingers crossed work well. Iāll update on progress. May not

Dupuytrens contraction
anyone any experience with this? Is this. Is it part of RA. Started last summer couldnāt open hand when to physio rather than gp who massaged it. I basically had to stretch it open. I have a tiny lump I was able to get it a bit smaller from massage. Talking to consultant on phone suggested ra nodule

Is this take 3 or take 4?
Iām giving this running malarkey another go! I first graduated in 2018, then 2020. In winter 2021 I tore both my ACL (grade 2) and MCL and rehabilitated through almost a year of physio. My main aim was getting back to scuba diving which I can now do with a knee brace. I did 3 months of Joe Wicks hiit

Follow up on RILP
Just wanted to share my situation dealing with consequences of an adverse reaction to some pallative radiation treatment I received. I posted a while back that I had been diagnosed with radiation induced lumbar sacral paraplexy that had affected my left leg to the point of no longer being able to walk

Pudendal Nueralgia Newbie
Hi everyone, I'm new to the site and it's been a big help to hear all your stories, especially as no-one seems to understand this condition (Pudendal Nueralgia). I have had the most shocking pains in my vagina and bum and sometimes lower ab region. Cannot sit down for longer than a couple of minutes,

Does this sound like MCAS
Hi there. I have a diagnosis of HSD but my specialist EDS physio and GP both now think it is actually HEDS due to recent prolapse and confirmation of high narrow palate which mean I now meet the minimum HEDS diagnostic criteria. I also have pots, erythromelalgia and fibro. It does feel like things
