Myofascial Pain Syndrome - I have found some help
The constant nagging right sided neck and shoulder pain has been me since May/June last year. It could be Myofascial Pain Syndrome however I wouldn't know how to know. As has been mentioned here, analgesia barely touches it. If I take Co-Codamol equivalent I can get some respite but not for long and

Womb ablation
Hi, I had womb ablation done last may which has helped with the heavy bleeding, but the last few months I've been getting cramps. Tonight the pain is unbearable, I have taken my co-codamol which haven't helped one bit. I've been curled up on my bed since 8. Just wish the painkillers would take the edge

Exercise and TSH - new blood results !
Well I have finally had my NHS results back and was asked to post them to see what effect if any had been achieved. I will start off by saying that apart from having a stinky head cold which stopped me going to the gym since the 20th I continue to feel better than I have since pre diagnosis last April

Totally weird bloodtest results!! Help please!!
So my blood test results came back, and I have fairly low ferritin (65.8 - ref. Range: 10-291) but high iron (33.8 - ref. Range: 8.8-27). I'm not taking any iron supplements, haven't taken any for years apart from 1 bottle of Floradix last summer. My transferrin was 2.63 (ref. Range: 2.00-3.80). B12

Anti-inflammatory food
I had a replacement aortic valve 17 years ago and take warfarin and statins daily. Have low vitamin D and IBS - problems with wheat and dairy. Have now got plantar fasciitis and last week had a root canal tooth redrilled leaving me in agony - swollen jaw, extreme pain up to my ear and down my neck.

Post lap stabby pain
Hi everyone, Had my second lap on Tuesday - not great news, more endo found on pelvic wall and ureter, so need more invasive surgery to remove. They couldn't do anything on Tuesday because of the findings but they did insert the coil like they said they would. It's not 4 days later and the anaesthetic

Urinary metabolomics reveals glycemic and coffee associated signatures of thyroid function in two population-based cohorts
One of the fundamental questions about thyroid hormones is precisely what they do. Even from where we are today, with unbelievably sensitive techniques for investigating biochemical pathways, we end up saying things like "thyroid hormone affects metabolism". That sort of approach, whilst fundamentally

At the end of the rope.
I have reached out here as we have no where else left. My husband has had issues with pain for many years but it had been manageable with quality of life. It has now been chronic for two years, since April 2015. He can no longer function, work or play with his kids. I have become the full time carer

Nice to meet you all
Hello I've just arrived and I'm a bit late at 12:20am but I can't sleep because of the pain I'm in. I had a Caudal Epidural two weeks ago and for the first week it was going well. Then not so well and my symptoms have returned with a vengeance. I'm now worse than I was before. I also have fibromyalgia

Anything for pain?
I was taking Amitriptyline for pain but after telling my GP it didn't help I was taken off it completely. I take already codeine, paracetamol, ibuprofen and buscopan. Heartburn and indigestion tablets for when I feel sick as well as using heat pads, hot water bottles and microwave bean bears. I don't
