Cod liver oil supplements ?
Hi Just wondering as a "newbie" I keep hearing from friends who have my best interests at heart ( I think ! ) On hearing of my new diagnosis of RA consistently ask " have you tried Cod liver oil". Well my question is, why have I not seen it mentioned on the forum ? Has anyone tried it for any period

Iron supplementation - ferric EDTA
I’ve started researching which form of Iron is best to take but would appreciate anyone who is able to forward any studies they’ve come across. Anything I’ve started to read has allowed no further access to information. Wanting to try the Better You Iron 10 spray (contains ferric EDTA) as tablets

B12, Folate & Iron
My B12 was 375 (211-911) & folate 8.6 (5.4-20.0). Been having symptoms so am trying to raise these levels. Taking B12 1000ug sublingual & a B complex. Apparently whilst raising B12 levels due to the increasing production of red blood cells your iron/ferritin levels can drop? If we need to take iron supplements

Notes made and ready for appointment on Monday... Its a 2 hour drive and weather not looking good.
Feeling a bit shabby, lots of aches and pains, eyes gritty and well... just another RA day. A shower and lots of movement tends to help, along with Naproxen and possibly Co-codamol . I will back to smiley face and optimistic outlook in an hour or so. Happy Friday everyone, go softly through the day

Is Amitryptiline contra indicated with Pred?
Sadly, Co-codamol only worked for two nights. Then I remembered that I had been prescribed Ami with Morphine Sulphate when I had a herniated disc. It was still in date and for the last two nights I took it at 8pm , as I had done before , light off at 12MD and slept through until 9am. That may not

RLS TREATMENT: Every day I read questions and answers on this forum and I would like to share with you some of my concerns
about the replies given to the many RLS sufferers who are struggling with their medication. All medications, if you read the leaflets, have side-effects and complications and at the end of the day, we have to weigh up which ones are going to be effective for each of us individually. 1.Dopamine Agonists

Low haemoglobin and iron tablets
I’m not sure where to post this. I had an operation where I suffered a bleed resulting in low haemoglobin. I had 2 blood transfusions and iron infusion. I was then given iron tablets. But my haemoglobin is back to normal now. All my iron results are high and my folate in low normal. Awaiting more blood

Taking two 30mg co-codamol pills permanently
I have chronic back pain, probably because of my long computer working hours. Long story short, I started to take co-codamol (30mg codeine + 500 mg paracetamol). I love it, not only does the pain disappear, but my miserable, painful, depressed, and tired day becomes the happiest day of my life, I feel

Iron lab values, how to interprete?
Hi everyone, Checking my iron is not part of the regular treatment I receive from the internist for my hypothyroidism. Many years ago a former internist checked my ferritin once per few years and it always seemed at the bottom of the range. He never mentioned it as problematic. I have now asked my GP

Hi Fibro forum. My name is debbie. I am 46 with crippling pain from fibro. I just had a hospital spell with covid on facial oxygen too but I'm better from that now. It's the fibro that's crushing my life. I have had fibro 28 months which is a short time compared to others but the pain is excruciating

Help for my pain please
Hi guys and gals I hope you are a safe and well (as you can be) I am looking for some advise on pain medication at present I take co-codamol 30/500 and Amitriptyline at night. For the most part this is not helping much. I’ve tried Tramadol before but I thought I’d been given a placebo as it didn’t
