Help with unexplained weight loss
Hello all, I am waiting upon the fitting of an ICD. In the meantime, as a type II diabetic, I have been having terrible problems with my guts. Lost 20lbs in just a month. Seems my medications had pushed me into Ketosis which probably is the cause. This came on top of painful cramps and griping in my

Please help. Where do I go next?
I had my first gynaecology appointment this morning and have come away feeling like I haven’t been listened to and my symptoms are not real. I am considering my next steps and whether to go back to my GP. I had been waiting 1.5 years for this appointment and feel very upset that I may now not get any

Terrible leg pain at night - two weeks in on Levothyroxine
Hi everyone, only two weeks in and I've learned such a lot on here already! It is another 4 weeks till my next blood tests and I'm a bit all over the place with my energy levels, which I guess is only to be expected and which I can cope with. What I'm struggling with is the terrible leg pains that wake

Hoping to avoid the IC
Yesterday's weather was a bit grim, the ground was wet and my shoes are new so I didn't want them getting muddy. Mr Yes was keen we should run so instead of going across the fields we ran along the road, through the park and then along the waterfront to home, a nice 4k for me while he carried on alone

What it really means to have IBS
If you’ve recently been diagnosed with IBS, you’re most likely scouring the internet for information on how to naturally treat irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). As a hypnotherapist who was diagnosed back in 2011 with IBS, I’m hoping my experience can shed some light on this poorly understood condition

Endo scratch done ✔️
Hello lovelies, Last month I asked about endo scratch experiences so I had some idea before I had mine. Thank you for all the responses, it really helped with making the decision. Had my endo scratch this morning and glad to report it went well. Some cramping during and after but nothing paracetamol

Failing to reduce again
I am so fed up with this disease. Having failed to reduce last year I ended up back on 10mg by the end of the summer. GP tends to leave me to manage myself but said last October (ish) that he’d like me to try reducing again. So I successfully tapered to 9mg over seven weeks. I left it a few weeks and

PMR and Itching?
I've been diagnosed with PMR for 4 years now, taking Pred during every day, and just worked down to 6.0mg / day, taking it in the morning at breakfast time every day. Recently I've started to itch, terribly, around the waist, hips, and back, to the extent that I cannot sleep very well during the night

Accessing Antivirals
So....after two years of being super-careful, we have become a plague household and all caught Covid. I thought I'd share my experience of testing and accessing antivirals. I'm in Scotland, have ET and am on Hydroxy. Have had all four vaccines. After doing a positive LFT (which I had at home as we've

Woke up this morning with an ache in my right arm. Took a paracetamol after breakfast, and it eased it . Back again this afternoon. Went for a little walk, and very achey. Wonder what is it. Thank you.

Spinal Stenosis
I was diagnosed with this condition almost 3 years ago and initially advised to consider surgery (not urgent) which looking at the details, was for me quite scary, so with some physiotherapy and occasional paracetamol help, I am coping. So what advice from someone with a similar condition would advise

I have had a face to face meeting with my Rheumatologist today, The first one since being diagnosed the PMR last August 190th. he did query why I was on 9.5 mg of Preds as he said, the protocol was 1 mg per month straight down , I explained, thanks to him, I had found this group and that surely 1/
