Is this a flare?
Hi, I’ve just returned from a holiday in the Maldives (lucky you I hear you all say!) except I’ve come back in a much worse state than when I went. I think the 11 hour flight and over 20 hours traveling have messed up my PMR. I’m currently on 9mg Pred. and on advice from the forum took an extra 2 mg

What should I try next?
I have been on the lowest dose of Pramipexole for many years now my legs are fidgety most nights within an hour or so of taking it. I tried taking paracetamol with it, but that’s been very hit and miss in helping. I’m waking up in the night roughly around 4.00am most nights but my legs aren’t fidgety

Why do my teeth hurt? 😫
My teeth, bottom front particularly, are sooo painful! I go to the dentist regularly and have good mouth hygiene, so it's not unhealthy teeth. I have Tocilizumab, Methotrexate, Sulfasalazine mainly. I started Atorvastatin about 2-3 weeks ago, which seems to be going fine; feeling no obvious side-effects

PAIN EVERYDAY - What to do
My pain has been so frequent recently making me vomit and dizzy. I’m under a lot of stress with uni atm and many so I know my body is exhausted. I’m trying to stop taking strong pain killers like tramadol but sometimes the pain is unbearable I can’t even walk or get up. I have not had an operation yet

Random pains
Few weeks ago I started getting random pains in different areas of my body following a virus ( not covid) . It can be so painful that I’m in tears but then eases and moves somewhere else. Shoulders have always ached but this is something else. Can be in wrists, arms then in thighs, knees or feet.

Not to complain, but . . . maybe I need some reassurance?
I had a rough time in the recovery period from my cryo ablation at the end of June last year, after a promising start. Then, since October last year I've had a lovely period without any major problems. Sure, I'm sensitive now to whatever my heart is doing, and when I lie down in bed I can feel my heart

How is it still an acceptable comment?
Hi there! Hope you’re all doing ok. I went to the doctors this week to discuss new pain medication - I’ve exhausted the options over the last 6 years but have now been told to stop everything and take one tramadol at night as well as paracetamol and ibuprofen. I explained that the paracetamol & ibuprofen

13 days post op 😁
Hi all, So I'm now 13 days post full hysterectomy and removal of endo and apart from a sore buttock I'm feeling the best I've felt in a long time 🥳 I cant believe what a difference it's made, I'm still taking the odd paracetamol and blood thinners (only 2wks left of them!) but apart from that I'm off

IBS general: my experience

Hip and groin pain .
I started with left groin pain about 3 weeks ago . This sometimes goes around the outside of the hip . I saw a doctor ( not mine) and he thinks it is osteoarthritis. I have RA and OA and have had a knee replacement, same side , and a right elbow replacement. The doctor said he thought it was osteoarthritis

Are my symptoms consistent with B12 deficiency especially burning sensation.
Hi Hoping people can tell me if some weird symptoms I'm having are consistent with B12 deficiency. I'm in the UK London. I have started getting burning skin sensations - feels like someone applied deep heat when I wasn't looking. I get these on my forearms, shoulders, patches on my upper back. They

Mornings
Good morning everyone, Since I’ve reduced prednisolone down to 5mg I have noticed wrist and hand stiffness in the mornings. Sometimes my fingers feel as if they are tingling when I wake. I also still have puffiness on the outside of each ankle below the bone despite reducing steroids. I thought this

Docetaxel and headaches?
I had my first cycle of Docetaxel Chemotherapy last Wednesday. I have been waking in the early morning with a blinding headache and struggled to sleep at all after that. This has happened for 5 nights in a row now. I rang up my care team yesterday who said they would contact my specialist but I've not

GCA or not GCA, that is the question!
Hi. I'm new to this, and keen to find out more about GCA/PMR. It started with a headache to end all headaches, lasting a week, and totally unresponsive to paracetamol. Prior to that I'd had about a year of painful arms, fingers, hands, shoulders and neck which had been put down to general wear and tear

Hi, thought I had this condition sussed but think I have a flare up but the Dr says it's sinuses. Had pain since the 6th Feb in my nose and brow and was given a steroid spray but didn't do anything. Pain in my head now and sore scalp sometimes and I feel inflamed in my head and body. The pain doesn't
