Muscle Relaxers?
So I think we established that NSAIDs we’re no-gos, with Naproxen the least objectionable and codeine as a possibility for strong pain relief, and paracetamol/acetaminophen for regular pain relief. How about muscle relaxants? Are there any that are safe with Afib? Thanks so much!

Saturday walk ..... BIG Mistake! 😢
Well my back had been slowly improving and the PF in my right foot was not too bad .The weather was good and I really needed to get out of the door . I had barely moved since my bike ride . So I had absolutely no intentions of pushing this . It was just going to be a slow gentle walk on a 1k route. I

Hi everyone. First timer. Sorry you’re all on here. I know what you’re going through. I was diagnosed a year ago, but in all likelihood, I’ve been suffering a lot longer, just not as badly. Had to give up my business of thirty years due to the pain. Now at the point where I can barely do anything. Had

Strange?
Yesterday I woke up feeling really rough, banging headache and nausea. I took some OTC paracetamol and codeine (12mg),one dose at 5 a.m and the last at 10.30 a.m. I do occasionally use this at night to help with RLS, but in this case I had nothing at all after 10.30 a.m. Yesterday evening I had an

First morning back to work update......
Hi, well my first morning at work was a thumbs up from me, I loved being back. Yes it was a little bit more noisy than I am used to but I was fine. I was so glad to see other people and talk to people all day, even the children were amazing to me. I was tired when I got home the 4 hours later and I

I was going to do this run on Friday, I was busy clearing as much as possible from the backlog at work due to me having a week off so I scheduled this for Good Friday. Long and the short of it, I got flu, that's all I'm going to term it, I didn't do any tests, etc, I just had flu. I got up yesterday

Arm/Shoulder pain
Hi all. MF and Jak2 positive ET here. My shoulder got wrenched in January whilst playing ball games with my dog. It had started to get better but then my wife and I went to Barcelona for a week. I did lots of walking, plus had a camera and bag across my back/neck. This has aggravated even more! I've

High GGT Level
Morning All, so my GGT level is now up to 136 & my GP has requested a liver scan, I’m still waiting for the appointment. I’ve been virtually teetotal for 5 years, just the occasional drink on special occasions. I do/have taken a lot of paracetamol & codeine due to headaches from a previous brain operation

Ibuprofen with methotrexate and azathioprine
Hi all, I was wondering if anyone can help me. I am on methotrexate and reducing the azathioprine for my lupus. The trouble is I was told by the pharmacist she wouldn't give me ibuprofen as I was on the methotrexate. My rheumatologist said it was OK to take both so now I am confused. Is it safe or not

Now it’s calf pain and covid
Following on from my last post , Monday I got a message from my own GP - blood tests are normal, reduce Pred, which I did to 2.5, where I’ve been comfortable for 2months, not 2mgs to where I’ve recently tapered. Wednesday, physio appointment (private) for neck and head pains, very reassuring, exercises

Letrozole/CTD agony. Yoga is better than massage says Med Research!
Dear all Hope you are all doing as well as possible. I rarely post as have been through an interesting journey with multiple commodities on top of 4 times recurrent breast cancer. I am writing as hitting the end of the third month mark on Letrozole (am 60, and 10yrs post menopausal) and REALLY struggling

Pain in arms after handling heavy goods
I have been running a celebration event at work on Monday and Tuesday. I had to lift a couple of boxes containing some trophies that were mega heavy. I mean each one heavier than a house brick! I had to pass these over to the presenters on the Tuesday but last night...bang...my upper and lower arms became
