Face pain.
Not sure what's going on with my face this week but I'm about to storm the dentist and demand they remove all my teethš I'm mostly sipping soup and duncking biscuits, which is ok but oh the pain! I'm taking paracetamol an ibuprofen and I've got some gel to put on my gums to numb the pain. The dentist

PMR flare, muscle pain or side effects of medication?
I reduced prednisolone from 11mg to10mg a fortnight ago. Not been feeling great for the last week, I'm not sleeping very well, I am struggling to turn over in bed and to get out of bed, but the pain and stiffness are mostly in my right hip, my lower back and my chest. I thought it was a muscle problem

Possible flare
Hi all, I reduced my steroids from 9mg to 8mg on 4th Feb. The last three days I have suffered from head pain which does not improve with paracetamol. I have spoken to doctor asking if I should increase steroids who advised me to stay on 8mg as pain is not around temporals and to increase amitriptyline

Broken Wrist
I read all the posts from fellow suffers of osteoporosis. I fell on the ice three weeks ago and broke my wrist. Osteoporosis or not this could have happened. Just some advise about the pain! It is incredibly painful. I am taking paracetamol and ibuprofen regularly. Night time is the worst as the pain

What would you do?
Can I please ask for some opinions on my situation. I know the majority of people on this forum are not clinically trained but I have found your posts so helpful as you are the people living with this "affliction". I was diagnosed with AF at the beginning of October after an overnight stay in hospital

I was on Prednisolone from October 2021 until a week ago. Reducing dose, 1 mg a day for the last month. For 2 months I have had very painful shoulders and my legs are very stiff and achy especially right at the top. If I sit for any length of time I am very stiff and can hardly walk. The pain is

āCONFUSEDā UPDATE
Well, I increased my Pred to 9 mg for 5 days but didnāt go straight back to my previous dose (4.5mg) but went to 6mg. So far the flu-type symptoms have gone but I still have a low-grade headache, plus pain in both shoulders and in the neck. I have tried taking paracetamol but this only has minimal

Latest rheumy appointment
I had my rheumy appointment today. Long story short, surprise surprise he wants me off the pred ASAP and said I'm taking too long staying on each dose for 6 weeks (that's what I was told to do!) So now I have to taper by 0.5mg per month. He was not concerned about my recent left eye blurriness episode

Adrenal start-up advice needed
I was diagnosed with PMR in July 2021 and started on 15mg. I have got through 2-3 hiccups with the help of this forum, and have now just settled at 6mg after a slow taper from 6.5, but, I seem to have hit the dreaded adrenal fatigue and joint pain period. Also , as per advice here, I have shifted

Confused newbie looking for best route to start research
Good evening all, Iām a complete newbie, diagnosed this week with primary hypothyroidism. To be honest Iām in shock, Iāve hardly taken a paracetamol before so when the GP said I needed to take lifelong medication, I was completely floored and I still am. I am desperately trying to find a way of avoiding

Steroids and Ibuprofen
I am currently on 7mg pred for PMR. I am also suffering from a trapped nerve in my back which I have had for six weeks now which has been VERY painful. My doctor has said under no circumstances to take any medication containing ibuprofen because of my steroids. Paracetomol does nothing to relieve

AF with bad ankle and back therefore problems exercising.
I am now almost never in normal Heart rhythm. It is eitherA/F, or supraventricular,or unclassified. I have a permanently swollen outer left ankle (scan says damage and arthritis) often have a pain in the left buttock relating to spinal cavity being reduced with spurs on. This means that I have problems

unstable angina
Hi I have been in and out of hospital since December with unstable angina. I am currently waiting for my 3rd angiogram so they can try drilling the blockage and fit a stent. 100 percent blocked right coronary artery double vessel disease. I am on so many tablets that I feel, like a zombie. Lisinopril

Struggling to get comfortable when sleeping
Hello all, my wife is exhausted and 1) She's scared to sleep in case she doesn't wake up and 2) The pain in her neck and shoulders from lying down. Now we've got a V-shaped pillow which she puts (normal) pillows on top of the V-shaped pillow but TBH this isn't working. Is she doing right or wrong? I've

DOMS or a flare?
Since stupidly messing up my steroid dose over Christmas I was just starting to fell a little better at the beginning of last week. As a result I did a little gardening over 3 consecutive days. Nothing strenuous just a bit of pruning and planting - the sun was out and it felt so good at the time.

First tentative trot in almost 10 weeks !
Talk about mixed emotions!I certainly had them on this little outing . It has been almost 10 weeks since my last run , which was a 5k for 'Tim's run' on 27th November. I remember starting with a headache on that very evening. Little did I know of what would lay ahead for the next 10 weeks ! Well, I say

pain relief for headache/sore throats after AF
hi all. I am new to this group. Pleased to join you all. I have just reverted back to sinus after 8 days in AF. This is the 3rd time in 6 months. Each time reverted back in about a week. Unfortunately this time Iāve gone back to sinus but have contracted a stinking cold/flu. Are there any pain killers
