Paracetamol and Sepsis
So the CNS told me to avoid paracetamol when I had a temperature because it could mask sepsis! Is this right? Just scored 38.4° this evening! My wife is wagging her finger at me 😳🙄

An aching leg when lying down
My partner ,for the last year, has experienced a severe ache in her right leg? The condition only affects her right leg when lying down which of course means her sleep is interrupted. She is 65 and teaches 3 days a week. She teaches 5 to 10 year olds and rarely sits down! Her doctor organised an xray

Burning pain to side of scapular post several breast ops - anyone have this too?
Dear all Hope you are doing as well as can be. I am really struggling with very bad, deep burning in the area of my upper left back, in-between the shoulder blade and my spine and wondered if anyone else has had this issue post surgery/ies? I have a lot of lumps and spasmed areas anyway, all over

First period after laparoscopy
I had a laparoscopy 2 weeks ago for stage 3 endo removal and cyst removal. I am currently on my first period. I had read lots of stories of it being worse, awful pain, heavy bleeding etc. But I have had a few cramps but these have eased with paracetamol/ibuprofen and bleeding is nowhere near as heavy

mastectomy
Well my surgery went well,Only problem was as I expected low oxygen levels after the anesthetic. so glad I opted for Mastectomy-would never have coped with further operations and up to 18 months of treatment if I had opted for reconstruction..Only appts now are with a district nurse to check dressings

edoxaban and topical diclofenic gel?
I’m in miserable levels of pain after a hip replacement 6 weeks ago. Before I had my surgery the pain was well managed by meloxicam and amitriptyline but then I had my first episode of AFib and they thought it may have been triggered by those drugs. So I was started on the holy grail of Bisoprolol,

Just had mine done this morning and am feeling a bit sore and headachy. Will take some paracetamol. Found the experience more stressful and more uncomfortable than having my cataracts done but not quite as bad as a recent colonoscopy. I was really annoyed though that though I’d asked several times

Thank you to everyone who advised me on the side effects of taking Metformin. My husband had none of the usual ones, but it has completely taken away his appetite. I know it is good to lose weight, but surely he needs to eat a certain amount. We both find a diabetic diet mostly tasteless, and do not

Bone Pain!
I'm experiencing some bone pain, again, on the upper wing of one of my hips. I'm waiting to get radiation--simulation early next week! In the mean time, I'm looking for a way to put the fire out enough for it to be less distracting. I'm on 4g of Acetaminophen daily and weaning off Oxycodone (down to

paracetamol
Not sure if it’s a bad cold or flu I have . I know NSAIDs are a very bad idea ( my first episode was triggered by Celebrex). Has anyone been triggered by Paracetamol ? Are there any safe pain killers ? Thanks

wild temperature fluctuations
Starting 10 months after beginning Venetoclax / obinutuzamab I started to suffer fever of some kind. My temperature would spike and then sometimes reduce to around 34.5. Only intravenous antibiotics seemed to correct this. After discharge from hospital and now having finished Venetoclax I still suffer

Introducing myself - symptoms worsening, seeking a diagnosis (sorry for the long post!!)
Hi there, I strongly suspect I have a mast cell condition - which has currently flared up at its worst. Background: I was always very healthy, no allergies at all, up until my early twenties when in 2017 I developed a problem with facial swelling and rash. It took about six months to poinpoint the

Hayfever & migraine
Hi everyone, I was just wondering does anyone experience hayfever and is it ok to treat it whilst doing IVF? I’m currently on my last few days of birth control and I’ll be starting medications for DE transfer in May. I had my down reg injection yesterday too. I’ve an almighty migraine and wondering

I don’t know that much about diverticulitis and the staff in the hospital mostly too busy to give me any answers . What I wanted to know is it

new to this
Hi everyone, just joined. After years of pain (on and off, here, there and everywhere!) my doctor sent me for x-rays, scans and no end of bloods May last year. I've had "flare ups" during the last 11 months but just recently they get more often and stay with me for longer. My doctor called me yesterday

Headaches
I am at week 7. I never ran until I was 50, ie last year. Since I started running 20+ minutes without stop, I seem to develop a headache shortly after I stop running, which last until late afternoon.I thought that it may have something to do with blood sugar, so I had porridge before I set off this morning

Is it Fibromyalgia?
I was diagnosed with PMR in January 2021 and started taking Prednisolone. The following November I fractured my humerus and while I was recovering began to experience pain in my lower back and legs to the extent that walking was very painful. I had an X-ray of my lumbar region which showed degenerative
