After 2 weeks of COVID you are not infectious
I just had a conversation with the Haematology unit of my hospital. I was told that after 2 weeks of COVID you are not infectious. Is that still correct if you have a compromised immune system? And if you still have lingering symptoms (i.e cough)?

covid the second time
I had covid while on holiday in Canada on Boxing Day and had paxlovid and then rebound and finally tested negative day 16. Now 23 still sound like I have a cold so even though I’m negative I still have some symptoms. We have planned to go back in June to visit our son and family and go on a cruise

ICU/Covid/PEA Arrest/Coma
My mom who has neuropathy was admitted on 12/30 with covid. She was septic due to c. diff/colitis...They started to treat her accordingly. Her heart stopped 4 days later, which required compressions to bring her back. During intubation she was bleeding through tube, to assure there was no bleeding internally

PVCs and sleep/screentime
Suffered from PVCs since my early 20s (now late 40s) - usually just the odd afternoon a couple of times a year and the occasional noticeable skip. Around the vaccines and covid they went full-time, bigeminy, prolonged pvcs and multiple trips to cardio/a&e. All benign and supposedly not frequent enough

Paxlovid for cancer patients with Covid?
Visited cancer center consultant and asked about Paxlovid, perhaps prescribed in advance of Covid diagnosis since I have aggravating issues with disease and age. M. O. said they do not Rx Paxlovid for their patients because even those in Tax and Platinum infusion cycles who contract covid rarely require

Living with presumed myocarditis which turned out to be MI
Sorry for this long post. I couldn't think how to make it shorter. I've found it hugely helpful to read the posts on this forum so I thought I'd reach out to seek some support and wisdom. My husband was fit and active (we enjoyed leisure cycling 15-20 miles, walking, gardening etc) until Oct '21. A

Preventative Antibiotics
Hi all, I've been a GCA patient since AUG 2022 and am currently on 40 MG PRED (down from 60, then 50). My rheumy is concerned about my immune system and has prescribed a preventative course of atovaquone to protect me from pneumonia -- even though I've recently had the pneumonia vaccine, He prescribed

How long do Frozen Transfers take?
Hi, I had my little girl last year on my second round of ICSI and we also were lucky enough to have some embryos to freeze. I’m now starting to think about trying for a second time but have no idea of the process/ timescale for frozen transfers?

covid booster during fet
hi all, is it safe and ok to have a covid booster after starting down regulation for an FET. I’ve been told by my doctor I can have a 4th booster but don’t want it to affect my FET. What do you all think? Thank you 😊

DNA Fragmentation
DNA Fragmentation - my lovely hubby had high DNA Frag (42% average, 22% healthy, 26% unhealthy) in 2021, we’ve had 3 fresh cycles since then (4 transfers including FET’s) and no success yet. He’s also seen Jonathan Ramsay and thrown the kitchen sink at it in the last 2 years. He’s done another test

Going back to exercise
Prior to the pandemic I (without any enthusiasm, it has to be said) used to go swimming and to the gym. After Covid restrictions were lifted I didn't go back as I have always been very cautious about Covid even before I was diagnosed with PMR. I feel that I should now start exercising again but I'm unsure

COVID - Continued Infection
I tested positive for Covid on the 26 December and received 5 days of Paxlovid and tested negative a few days latter following completion of the course. On the 5th Jan I tested positive again, a possible rebound. Some 14 days later I am still testing positive, the line on the LFT was getting lighter

Covid
Have just tested positive for Covid. Has the advice about antivirals changed? Im thinking that they dont feel we need them now we have had so many vaccinations? Have informed NHS so no doubt they will let me know. Am following sick day rules for now.

Thyroid dysfunction and Covid
This paper examines the relationship of hyper- or hypothyroidism and Covid infection. It concludes the risk of mortality is greater in hyper- than in hypo- states. There is only a marginal relationship with hypothyroidism.

Happy New Year!
It was a little late, but a couple of days ago, it hit me: January 1st was the 5th anniversary since I've lit up or smoked a cigarette! Of course, I am fast approaching the 1 year anniversary since I tested positive for a UTI and I still have it. Doesn't matter how many antibiotics I take, it

do you think I could be long covid
just a thought, I’ve have a lot of time in my sick bed with a chest infection and just wanted to put something out there If you don’t all mind. In April last year I contracted Covid, I wasn’t to bad with it and thought I recovered quite well, but I have had a lot of thinking time. So here goes a long
