Post Covid numbness
hi Everyone I’m new to this community, though I’ve had Asthma since 2010. My question though is related COVId but I’m not sure which community to post to so please bear with me. I tested Covid negative in early July. But it triggered Asthma and it took 3weeks to get it back in control. but

Clueless
Does anyone feel up to sharing some basic information about thyroid problems with me. I'm dealing with severe mental health issues that keep me pretty isolated. In the past 10 years I've only seen a doctor twice and only because I was giving birth. So at 40 I don't really have a clue what's going on

Covid, the latest booster and Evusheld...
On September 27th,2022, I had the Evusheld injections...I was really excited about having antibodies and some sort of protection from covid. My husband and I left for a European vacation on October 10th, still following the same protocols we've been following since the beginning of the pandemic.

I can't quite belive it! This looks good right?! I conceived my now 2.5 year old son via ICSI in 2019 and we recently decided we wanted to try for a sibling. On the cycle that resulted in my son we had 3 frozen embryos...but to cut a long story short we decided to let them go in 2020...so we had to do

COVID positive
I tested positive for COVID yesterday on a home test kit. I feel a little achy and weak, have cold symptoms, but no fever. I’m currently taking 7.5 mg prednisone/ day. Should I increase for a few days? Coincidentally, I had similar COVID (PCR test confirmed) last January. I was on 7 mg prednisone

Covid Apixaban and Awful Nosebleed
I am 7 days post Covid and have felt well as just like nasty cold for the last 3 days although still positive. However after a sleepless night I was just lying in bed when started a nosebleed for no reason as nose stopped running days ago. I then noticed that I kept swallowing stuff so sat up in case

Covid booster
Just to reassure people - I had heard lots of horror stories about the latest Covid booster so was in 2 minds about whether to get it. In the end I went along to my appointment, had a chat with the nurse and, feeling reassured, went ahead. I am happy to report that, apart from a sore arm I'm not

My COVID experience has been pretty easy with Test-to-Treat
Hi everyone: I am writing to share how grateful I am that my first "official" COVID infection has been mild and easy to treat. I am watch-and-wait and developed a full antibody response with my third vaccination. I also finally got Evusheld last month which I am very grateful for. I am by nature a

5AA embryo IVF transfer failed
Hi Ladies, I am really struggling today. I am 28 and have been ttc for 2 years now. It is deemed unexplained. Just finished my first IVF ICSI NHS round. 14 eggs retrived, 11 mature, 9 fertilised, 2 x 5 day embryos. 5AA was used for fresh transfer (was told this is the best grade so was very hopeful)

failed fertilisation- ICSI
Hi so we just had the dreaded call, that out of three eggs collected yesterday, none have fertilised. Two of the eggs were mature and the sperm was fine, they cannot see a reason why they didn’t fertilise. Luckily we are on a three cycle package but that doesn’t make today’s call any easier. Is

Link between Covid vaccine and PMR - research papers
I've done some Googling and found these rather interesting articles. The possible link between Covid vaccines and PMR/GCA was drawn to my attention by my cousin telling me about her friend in Australia who was recently diagnosed with GCA. The medical establishment put the cause down to the Covid vaccine

New Vaccine vs Evusheld
I have CLL and am still on watch and wait. After being extremely careful and escaping Covid for 2.5 years, I had a mild case in mid September. According to CDC guidance, I should wait three months before getting the new vaccine. I am wondering if this recommendation holds true for those of us who are

Newbie here. I've just tested postitive for covid.
I have asthma and I've just tested positive for covid. I was born 2 months premature and my lungs have always been a bit vulnerable. Do I just wait and see how it goes before speaking to my GP. I premsume so. It's a worry, as symptoms as just starting. My last vaccination was about this time last

Covid and INR
I am recovering from a mild dose of Covid which, apart from a bad headache and fever/chills for a day has only left me fatigued. However, I am wondering if Covid raises the INR number. I know a lot of you on this forum take the newer anticoagulants but my cardiologist wants to keep me on Warfarin. It

Hi all you lovely people Ten days in and I’m still testing positive for the dreaded covid. I was refused anti virals in the beginning just feel now I’ve hit the point that it’s not going to go without intervention. Also have bad cold sores. Any suggestions or pointers as to what I can do or try.

NHS Funding Question
We have been struggling to conceive for 16 months now and have just finished all of our required testing. Mine seems clear but my husband’s results showed low morphology of 3%. We are now looking into IVF and ICSI. I’m wondering if anyone else has any experience of NHS funding and whether we would
