I’m now 36, living in NW London. Previously diagnosed abroad with PCOS and prescribed oral clomiphene citrate with an unsatisfactory result. Only conducted basic tests and screening requested by GP for the sake of secondary care referral in NHS.
While waiting for my first appointment at NHS Hospital in July, I’m currently looking for London private clinics. Since I haven’t done any Fertility Assessments, I don’t know my AMH, AFC etc. Is it possible to ask my GP to arrange those tests for me?
I’m also hoping for some advice on the following clinics. Other options are also welcome.
1. CRGH – tempted by the Access Fertility packages
2. Lister – tempted by the Access Fertility packages
3. London Women’s Clinic (LWC) – tempted by the Access Fertility packages
4. Evewell
5. Aria
6. King’s – sounds good in this forum but a bit far…
Could anyone share their experiences/recommendations by PM, please?
Also wondering if I should take the Fertility Assessments at private clinics and reuse the results in NHS Hospital so as to jump directly to the IVF waiting list.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! 🙇♀️

Hi, I was with the first clinic on your list. Trying to reuse my NHS results was a nightmare. And I had other horrible experience there too. I will PM you.
Hi, I know this is an old post but I wondered if you could DM me about your bad expereince at CRGH? I'm choosing between them and one other clinic and am super stressed trying to make the decision! No worries if you don't want to think about it anymore! x
I have been through two EC and one FET with the Evewell. Great clinic, super responsive and very personable. Cannot recommend them highly enough, especially Kat Kriedt Consultant at the Hammersmith clinic.
Thank you for your sharing. 🙇♀️ At this early stage of assessing clinics, I am still in the process of gathering information and figuring out the right questions to ask. However, I am grateful for your willingness to help, and I will definitely reach out to you privately if any questions arise. 😀
I had tests done privately but nhs won't entertain them so having them all done again. Frustrating waiting but also reassuring getting second opinions!
I spoke to the gp and they've sent me for blood tests and husband for semen analysis straight away, just had to book in himndropping of his sample and the wait was about 4 weeks. Waiting for my second bloods on day 21 of my cycle, then hoping to be referred to a fertility clinic but have no idea how long that will be 😬
CRGH were aggressive, expensive and amazing. HGH as standard. Consultants follow up with detailed responses. The embryologists are exceptional and the embryo culture in particular. I think that's why their HEFA results are so good. I did a round at The Lister which was very bells and whistles - website, ward, coffee machines - and actually terrible. Stims left to the nurses. Embryologists evasive. But everyone is different.
