Struggling after heart attack and covid
Had a heart attack In September, did not have a stent inserted as hospital said that due to the ambulance taking 5 hours to arrive it was too late for treatment. Was recovering and getting stronger but then my husband caught covid and gave it to me. No longer testing positive but it is 2 weeks now

Covid /Flu Jabs
I have recently been diagnosed after being misdiagnosed for rotator cuff! It seems odd this started after Covid/Flu jabs and my Doctor also said she had heard of this, depending how high up the arm the jabs were given. I do not think I will have any more jabs whilst having PMR. Could be coincidence

Where to go from here…
Good Morning Just come back from my consultation after a failed transfer. I have had 2 cycles, 3 transfers and no positive tests. We also have male fertility issues, so have done ICSI. Consultant was pretty blunt tbh, didn’t sugar coat anything. Told me to get bloods etc done again to check autoimmune

MTX and Covid Vaccine
I’m sure this topic has been discussed previously but to save me searching I would like to ask whether anyone has been given advice around withholding MTX before having a Covid vaccine. I have already had six vaccinations and have never been given advice to withhold MTX before having it. A friend recently

Egg collection
So had a good egg collection today after originally worring about the growth rate of the follicles. We got 11 mature eggs, which im taking as really good news at this stage. Our first round of icsi we only had 6 eggs. So now on to the next bit of waiting 🤞 I will be starting cyclogest pesaries this

Getting Covid antivirals when traveling
Firstly thanks to everyone who responded to my last question about Covid. You really helped me get through the week, whilst I worried that I had Covid. I’m still not feeling 100%, but I’m negative. I really want to travel abroad this year to see relatives and to go sightseeing again. But I’m afraid

antiviral letter (covid)
I have only just this week received an email notifying me that I’m elegible for antivirals if I test positive for covid. This is the first time I’ve been notified of this, and I was a bit taken aback as I’ve had covid twice now, with no offer of antivirals. Has anyone else only recently had this

Update on my first round of treatment
Following on from my first egg collection on Monday morning - disappointingly I only got two eggs, of which only one fertilised with icsi. So the clinic recommended a day 2 transfer (as nothing to compare against) so I have my appointment tomorrow lunchtime. I was of course hoping to have one or two

Update
Hi everyone. I thought I’d drop in on the forum , I haven’t been on for a while but I am still interested to know how people are getting on. It’s now 15 months since I stopped taking Prednisolone and thankfully I am still doing well and haven’t had a relapse. I just happened to read this article

Don't know how it happened, but I have Covid.
Last Thursday (February 9th) I woke up hoarse...didn't feel bad but sounded horrible. Since I am super careful and go almost nowhere, I assumed it was a mold reaction to 2 days of rain; however, Saturday morning, I was running a low grade fever, and a home test said positive for Covid! Argh! I immediately

Concern about getting more Covid-19 vaccines.
I was diagnosed under 2 years ago. I guess I’ve had it since 2007. Just wondering about getting more Covid-19 vaccines. I have believed it is a good idea to get them. But every time I have I get some very odd things I’ve never experienced before. Rash. Sore in my eye. Eye infection. I cut my arm and

Covid vaccine frequency
Do I now stop or delay more covid vaccines or how often to get vaccines now? Im 79 with CLL for years. Luckily I have not had Covid yet. I have taken every covid vaccine offered including the bivalent one last Sept. I also got two doses of Evusheld 6 mos apart with last one in Sept 2022. I've read

NICE says no to Evusheld in the UK
Today NICE announced that they do not recommend that preventative Covid treatment Evusheld is used in the UK. This is a treatment aimed especially at the immunosuppressed, who in many cases cannot get adequate protection from Covid vaccines. Here is the full NICE announcement: https://www.nice.org.uk

covid/gca
I tested positive for covid yesterday and was started on Paxlovid. My major complaint is head and jaw pain. Could this be a GCA flair? I doubled my prednisone to 6 mg yesterday but nothing seems to help. I have been taking Tylenol every 8 hours. My recent blood tests Sed rate and CRP were excellent.

PMR after Covid vaccine?
I am very much FOR vaccines, but I have noted that my PMR symptoms started shortly after a Moderna booster. Previous AZ, AZ, Pfizer vaccines were fine. Has anyone received any likely confirmation, particularly from a Rheumatologist that their Covid vaccine may have triggered PMR? If so, what advice have

Post Covid dosage
Hi I’ve finally tested negative for Covid after a fortnight. Phew! Still a slight cough and fatigue. I initially increased dosage from 6.5mg to 12 then 10 for the last few days. Shall I take 8mg for a couple of days, then 7mg then go back to 6.5mg? Not sure the best course of action for the jolly adrenals
