Omeprazole withdrawal
I recently halved my daily omeprazole 20mg for 2 weeks then stopped taking it. Since then in addition to the expected acid rebound I have had missed beats type arrhythmias every day for the last 15 days sometimes lasting 8hrs. The arrhythmia could of course be due to something else going on which coincided

Update “not sure if it is PMR“
Phoned for an appointment this morning, was told my GP on holiday so was given a slot with nice young (still training) GP. We decided as there had been slight improvement on 15mg (now day 17) it might possibly be PMR. He was running over one hour late and was the only GP there. We agreed a drop to

I’ve been diagnosed with adult onset asthma a four years ago. I’m 54. Diagnosed after a respiratory tract infection- no spiromtry or other tests I’ve read about on here. For the first couple of years I didn’t have symptoms most of the time- only when I had a cold. I could go without Clenil or Ventolin

Early Retirement from Work.
Morning Everyone. I have recently been diagnosed with fibromyalgia/chronic pain syndrome. It has taken 4 years to get to this point as I also have spinal degeneration in my neck and lower back which was clouding the symptoms of the fibromyalgia. I had a spinal fusion on C4 C5 & C6 C7 last August but

Update on kidneys and other stuff
Afternoon everyone, Sorry this might be a long one! Following on from my previous post (see link) I’ve had some progress with the doctors - I think? I thought if I ran it past you maybe it would all make a little more sense 🤞🏼 Here’s my previous post - https://healthunlocked.com/lupusuk/posts/142404359

Pantoprazole
Hello, this is quite a specific question... I've had IBS-c for years but in 2017 was also diagnosed with gastritis. They also found a hiatus hernia last year and prescribed Omeprazole 20mcg. I've tried taking it but get horrible cramping and nausea. But I want to try again to give my stomach a chance

On the “horns of a dilemma” re Alendronic Acid 😳
Your thoughts/ experience would be welcome please. My situation: diagnosed with PMR Dec2019. Pred dose 15, increased to 17.5 for a couple of weeks, now symptoms controlled at 15 hoping to decrease to 13.5 next week. Blood tests also indicated I am pre-diabetic, just overweight with BMI 26. Now signed

Omeprazole prescribed to go along side Naproxen - First time - How do I take!?
I have been taking Naproxen for a few years now - Instead of having them as prescribed I have got by having 1 when my pain is so horrendous I can't cope and just dealing with the pain at other times. I have had to take a considerable amount more since I had my Mirena coil fitted and have also been prescribed

Pericarditis
My ablation was on February 2nd. Next day woke to chest pains which were diagnosed as pericarditis. Because anti inflammatories like naproxen and ibuprofen are taboo with Appixaban I was put on colchicine. Side effects were horrendous so with symptoms gone I was told I could drop it. 3 weeks later pericarditis

OMEPRAZOLE: Tinnitus friendly?
Howdy Basically it’s the title. Got some throat issues and the hospital doc recommended taking OMEPRAZOLE and I’m concerned that it may do something to the Tinnitus so does anyone have any idea if it could be a problem. I don’t want to take anything that could tick it off. Also is it an antibiotic

When to take PPI
Hi, I am being prescribed Omeprazole for a possible ulcer and gastritis which I've had since last April after taking ibuprofen for a couple of days. So far I have been treating it with Biocare Slippery Elm Plus and homeopathic remedies, but it has recently got worse. My doctor has been unable to prescribe

Pain relief for period?!
I have called the nurses at our clinic but waiting for a phone call back so thought I would try here - we are due to start ICSI this month with short protocol. I have come on my period today after taking norethisterone for 6 days, and have my baseline scan booked for tomorrow. I am in agony with my period

Discouraged-looking for help!
Hi all! Looking for some advice, I have not been formally diagnosed with fibromyalgia yet however, it has been suspected from my GP. I have tried Naproxen, dicyclomine sodium and now I’m on amitriptyline to help me manage my full body chronic pain and chronic fatigue which also seem to not be working

First post - Esomeprazole (Nexium)?
Firstly, I am so grateful to have found you all. I am going through this completely alone. I don't even have confidence in my rheumatologist. I need some advice on Nexium...anyone got any experience with this? Background: diagnosed end of November 2019 (One week after my 70th birthday!) (PMR, then
