First post - Esomeprazole (Nexium)?
Firstly, I am so grateful to have found you all. I am going through this completely alone. I don't even have confidence in my rheumatologist. I need some advice on Nexium...anyone got any experience with this? Background: diagnosed end of November 2019 (One week after my 70th birthday!) (PMR, then

Coming off PPIs for endoscopy
I've was diagnosed with limited systemic sclerosis 5 years ago although I've had symptoms for a lot longer, including reflux for 30 years and swallowing problems when eating for about 5. I was scheduled for an endoscopy today, mainly to rule out any other causes of my worsening dysphagia and reflux.

If so how did you cope as I am doing physio weekly for my legs in particular my left leg as it feels like it’s been paralysed. I can’t walk normally as

Timing of Pred dose and adrenal recovery
PMR diagnosed March 2019. I had successfully tapered down to 7.5mg by October, but then seemed to get stuck for 3 months. Every time I tried 7.00, pains returned. However, since mid-January, I have been able to get to 7.00 and am now slowly tapering to 6.5. Experimenting early on led to my taking

I have had symptoms related to reflux for 3 years, although it doesn’t fully add up. I get severe indigestion constantly, heartburn and abdominal cramping. Interesting thought Dr!
Hi all. I hope that this post finds you all as well as can be expected😊. I don’t write too much these days, not because I’m too bad or anything but I just don’t have as many thoughts as I used to have about the disease. I exercised, juiced, fasted, red light hatted and I still have it unfortunately!

Ranitidine . . . or not?
Hello. I've been taking Omeprazole for many years and recently suggested to my GP that this be changed for something else. She's prescribed Renitidine but having read various warnings I'm wondering if it is wise to make the change. I will, in any case, wait until a current bout of (suspected) diverticulitis
