omeprazole
does anyone else get a fuzzy head soon after taking omeprazole? I initially thought it was a reaction to my steroids but having tried taking them in the night it made no difference. The fuzziness has usually gone by midday!

One word of caution. A course of high-dose supplements given for at least three months will resolve many deficiencies but, unless diets/medication/underlying conditions change the problem is likely to recur. Many people will require lifelong supplements or, at the very least, future testing to check

Is this my hernia playing up?
Hi, I was diagnosed with a sliding hiatal hernia via an endoscope procedure a few years back now. Since then, I have had recurring bouts of gastritis and when I saw my doctor they confirmed the hernia was the cause of the gastritis, which I suspected as never had gastritis before the hernia. Since

I’ve been given omeprazole to take to protect my stomach while taking steroids. I was given them when I was taking strong anti inflammatory pills before they agreed for me to try steroids. They cause wind and constipation so wondered if anyone had the same experience or if they were taking something

Naproxen Vs ibuprofen
I've got a chronic pain in my hand which flairs up at night. I've had one operation on it already but had no success but a 2nd consultant has suggested another operation that 'might' help. If I take naproxen or ibuprofen at night it helps me get sleep. During the day it's fine and I don't need to take

Ferratin level
Hi. Probably in t he wrong section but all thoughts welcome. My ferratin is in the 'normal' range but low and dropping, even though I have been taking oral iron spray daily, liquid iron supplement given by my doctor, high iron foods in my diet. I get days of complete fatigue, other days I can cope but

Gabapentin or Pregabalin?
I’ve been taking Gabapentin since April this year, now on 600mg, and I think it’s helping (though also came off Omeprazole recently which could also be having a positive effect.) I would like to know people’s experience with mood changes on either Gabapentin or Pregabalin. I know mood changes can be

Anyone had back (muscle) spasms? Is it linked to PMR?
My lower and middle back has gone into spasm and I'm finding it very hard to resolve and there isn't much info out there on the internet so am appealing to a wider audience. I'm wondering if it is linked to the PMR or steroids because it has left me with weak muscles? Standing in one spot, walking

omeprazol and RLS
I have acid reflux and can’t take omeprazole or Lanzoprazol because they make my RLS worse. Does anyone know of any other medication that doesn’t affect RLS. I am fine with Gaciscon.

A&E visit
Good afternoon all. My husband called an Ambulance on Saturday as I was getting weird chest pains and palpitations. I was given all the usual checks at A&E but all came back fine, they changed my omeprazole 20mg to Lansoprazole 30mg thinking it could be a gastric problem. I still have this pain

Time and again I see recommendations that one should speak to an MPN specialist or someone else on one's care team - and I have a quiet chuckle and just carry on with my life. Using clopidogrel with proton pump inhibitors (PPIs)
A notice released by NHS England's Specialist Pharmacy Service four days ago. Not directly thyroid related but we have a number of members on the medicines mentioned - though quite possibly not in the combinations detailed. [i]
