Medication for pain daily
Hi all. I recently had my first flare up since being diagnosed. It wasn't nearly as bad as many suffer and nothing compared to the pain before I was diagnosed and treated. But it was bad enough and I had to wear a wrist brace for a couple of weeks to help. I contacted my GP who told me to take naproxen

hydroxychloroquine
I had been weaning off Prednisolone and my RA symptoms started to return. Consultant had hoped the methotrexate on its own (just with ibuprofen/naproxen/paracetamol as needed) would be enough but it isn’t. I started 2x200mg daily hydroxychloroquine this week. I have been told it can take 6 weeks to

ovarian cancer symptom?
In February this year I became unwell with raised GGT, weight loss, fever terrible headaches, malaise and random abdominal pain. To rule out ovarian or liver cancer (!?) Dr arranged gastroscopy which found nothing. Four months on omeprazole and watch and wait until end of June. Weight settled, but

Help! I forgot to take my Omeprazole on holiday!
Can’t believe I have been so stupid as to forget to bring my Omeprazole capsules on holiday. I see I can buy Omeprazole from a chemist but not the capsules as they are only available on prescription. I am returning home on Friday. Will the over the counter ones suffice (if I can get them)? What happens

Atorvastatin
Ive found that taken at night my dose causes morning headaches which are not alchol related!! Taken in the morning with other meds causes no adverse effects, well at least nothing noticable. I also take steroids & inhaler for copd and Amlodipine for raised BP along with Omeprazole for gut protection

Thanks for all the replies to my first post. They were all really helpful. Sorry I haven't reply to any yet, but I had an emotional few days.I've just been back to the doctors, (different, more senior gp this time) for some pain management advice. I told him all areas that hurt and he said "Ooh, rheumatology

Peroneal Tendonitis
I have just been diagnosed with Peroneal tendonitis at a clinic after an ultrasound on my foot due to quite severe pain after just stepping down a step. The inflammation is quite pronounced on the scan. I am wondering if this is common in people with PMR? I already have trochanteric bursitis and wondered

Ferrittin level (Different Opinions)
Last Wednesday (26th July) I had my 3 monthly blood test in relation to my Myelofibrosis and asked for my Ferrittin level and TSATS to be checked also. No ill health retirement given!
hi, I am a teacher by profession but had to retire from teaching 3 years ago due to my fibromyalgia, osteoarthritis and hyper mobility symptoms. There are 2 levels of ill health retirement you can apply for as a teacher. One is that you can no longer teach and two is that you can no longer work at all

Omeprazole, T3 & acid issues-advice appreciated
Hello everyone, Advice/observations appreciated on any of the following from you knowledgeable people. I know that PPIs can cause issues with T4 and are advised for short term use only and should be taken at least 4 hours away from Levo but what about T3, any restrictions on leaving a time lapse? Asking

Prednisolone and Omeprazole
I have had PMR and GCA for 7 Years and was told I had to take 10 mg daily of Omeprazole which I have been on for the 7 Years. I am now on 3mg steroids but have been getting a lot of tummy upsets and wondered if the long term use of Omeprazole is causing it. I have gone Lactose and Gluten free as well
