Post laparoscopy infection..
Hi, I recently had my first laparoscopy (first surgery!) Which diagnosed endometriosis, 3 days ago. As soon as I woke up I had a fever of 38C which has remained with me. I went to my GP to remove incision dressings (couldn't do it myself!) And I've got an infection on my belly button incision. I'm taking

Let me introduce myself...
Dear All, I was at last diagnosed with PMR yesterday after some years now of being in excruciating pain each and every sleepless night and a few periods when I arrived at destinations to find I actually couldn't get out of the car. As you can imagine it was a considerable relief at getting this diagnosis

Diagnosis.... Or lack of.... Help ðŸ˜
Hi. I was diagnosed with Fibro back in 2005. In the last 14 years I've been on Fluoxetine, Amitriptyline, Diazepam, Paracetamol, ibuprofen, Naproxen, Codeine, Gabapantin to name but a few. Hit and miss to which has worked and when.... None of them touch the pain now AT ALL! I've never had a scan and

Can endo cause sciatica pain?
I have been having constant back pain since January, waiting to see gynae in July but have started with pains down into my hips, bum and left leg, I even feel like I have buzzing buttocks (very strange sensation) but definitely feels nerve related. Can’t take ibrufen as just had gall bladder surgery

Anyone got any experience of Naproxen and other NSAID's in Chronic Pelvic/Chronic Non Bacterial Prostatitis Inflammation?
I want something to get the inflammation down in the groin area. I've had Naproxen for sometime but I have been reluctant to take it because I've read that it can spark off Ulcerative Colitis - and I do have anal symptoms as well as front ones. Some studies recommend it though Any thoughts?

Is this a flare? 🤪
Good morning all. I was diagnosed with RA May 2018, and after the initial onset, with the meds I'm on, 20mg mtx and 200 mg hydroxy, things have been pretty settled, apart from achey finger joint and stiff toes. Last Saturday my left knee started aching and now its swollen and so stiff can hardly move

Severe pack/pelvic pain landed me in A&E (endo?)
So I had to go to A&E last night as I nearly threw up/passed out at my friends house with the pain. I had taken naproxen and cocodamol which did not touch this, as stated on my last post I get really severe periods and have been referred to gynaecology but I’m on a long waiting list. After about 3/4

Pericarditis pain killers stopped
Just seen the GP due to continuing pain after over 3 months. Actually worse in the last few weeks. Prescribed naproxen instead of ibuprofen. Had a stent fitted this time last year so she called my cardiologist. As a result all NSAID painkillers other than my low dose asprin have been cancelled. Now seriously

Coccydynia and Muscle Spasms in Back - Primary Raynaud's
So a little update, I seen a GP about the pains in my back after my private physiotherapist said to ask for a scan to be done as he thought there was something in the bone by my coccyx. I spoke to the GP and she said a scan was not worthwhile and I was to see a NHS physiotherapist they recommended to

NSAID warning if TTC
Hi Ladies, I thought this may be useful to share as I was completely unaware until recently. If you are trying to conceive please beware of using NSAID pain killers for your endo pain relief because they stop ovulation in up to 75% of women! This includes Naproxen (which I was prescribed for my endo

10 day difference in labs before and after pain medication
I went by ambulance to the ER for severe muscle spasms on left side of my back. They drew blood before giving me any medication. While waiting for results I was given an i.v. of morphine and some sort of muscle relaxer. All labs came back in normal range so I was released with instructions to take Naproxen

Lap came back normal, what now?
Hi all, I'm wondering if anyone can shed some light on this. I've had problems with my period for years and years now (I'm 26) and have tried various treatments. The pill/mini pill gave me terrible side effects, the mirena coil didn't work, various painkillers including Diclofenac, Mefenamic acid, Naproxen

Has anyone had this combo of bloodwork and symptoms?
I was dx'd with lupus in 1997 but have never had any kidney or liver or other organ involvement except possibly some CNS stuff. I have taken Plaquenil in the past, but for most of these years, I have just taken either Naproxen or Meloxicam to manage my inflammation. My CBC bloodwork always turns up with

The lesser of two evils, Prednisone vs Naproxen?
I have had PMR for about six years and take 5mg of Prednisone a day, I have painful knees and my GP has diagnosed OA and prescribed Naproxen which at this stage I only need to take occasionally. I think my PMR is on the way out but my knees are gradually getting worse so I should really start to taper

Claustrophobic, but needing an MRI - high AFP
Hi, I am new to this site, although I've been reading for a wee while. My story is this: Been a drinker since my late teens, (now 59), mainly beer and wine (2 - 4 beers p/day, plus 2 - 4 glasses of wine or 1 - 2 G & T). I have never ever been a "hard alcohol" drinker, or alcohol dependant - the full

Losing the will!
Northern Ireland Health Care Sucks!!! Suffered with heavy, very painful cycles since as far back as I can remember and always been handed pills. No matter how often I complained, cried or tried, always pills. March 2015 I started noticing a pattern of debilitating pain more so than normal, it rotated
