Advice needed
So I've been experiencing a lot of pain in some joints now for almost 2 weeks, barely sleeping, so I decided this morning to visit my gp for some stronger pain relief. Currently I've just been taking paracetamol and ibuprofen. So it was a new doctor that I saw and he just did not know what was what.

Titrating Pregabalin
Hi Everyone Can I please ask all you wonderful people for some advice. My starting dose of Pregabalin in Oct 18 was 50mg am/pm. This increased to 100mg and for the last 2 months I’ve been on 150mg am/pm. This dose usually dulls the burning, twinging, pain I get in my forearms, thighs and sides of my

Flares growing more frequent
Hello, I’ve been living with a somewhat undiagnosed inflammatory condition for three years. No R factor in my blood, all blood work is normal other than evidence of inflammation and the pain flits around my body - sometimes hourly causing me to quite suddenly lose power in a wrist, or a knee or a hip

When your markers only elevate, what do you do?
The only way is up with my markers. CRP 95 and wait for it to add to my woes ESR 97!!!! I have had an inflamed hand for 3 weeks. I am honestly disappointed with my rheumatologist - you would of thought he would call to discuss, he just seems to be avoiding me. So that said Plan B is back to see my

Back without a diagnosis
Well I promised I would come back and update you after my consultant appointment. Unfortunately we are no further forward. The hospital hadn't got the results of the tests the gp had ordered but he's pretty sure I DON'T have RA. But he doesn't know what I do have either. So I've had more blood tests

Terminated on health grounds

I have my life back
What a difference a week makes. This time last week I was in absolute agony and unable to move because of the pain from two inflamed bulging disks and a PMR flare. I told my bowling club and my choir that I would be unable to take part again this season (or, in my mind, ever again). Well! Thanks to

GP prescribing issues??
Just interested to hear if anyone else has the same issues as me with regards my repeat prescriptions... I’m on mtx, hydroxychloroquine, naproxen, sulpha. Update after seeing neurosurgeon
Hello again, I saw the Neorosurgeon on Wednesday re my (apparently two) bulging lumbar discs. After considerable poking and prodding and making me walk across the room on tiptoe (agony) and then on my heels (more agony), he said that as I had strength in my lower limbs, no incontinence (Hooray - let's

Tips on getting body to rest?
Hello all! So, the past week pretty much hasn’t been the prettiest for me. Went through horrible Tramadol withdrawal over the entire bank holiday weekend (lived off toast and minimal water thanks to nausea etc) and ended up going to the doctors on Tuesday afternoon after spending the morning at work

Hi, I had a HA nearly four weeks ago. Just before discharge I was told that I was anaemic after having to take naproxen and codeine nine weeks previously post operatively after a shoulder reconstruction. GP put me onto 200mg of ferrous sulphate twice a day. And yet, even after four weeks I am still

Hi from a guy with FND
I joined about a month ago after neurologist diagnosed me with FND. Thought I'd best say hi, instead of lurking in the shadows in a dressing gown surrounded by ecig smoke. Never heard of this before the neurologist told me and not sure how to take it either. 4 years i was told politely and carefully
