I had a laparoscopy last month and yesterday came on my period. It’s my second period since the lap. Last months was painful but no worse than usual. With this one however im in the worst pain I’ve experienced in a long time. I’ve been continuously cramping since about 11pm last night with no relief. I’m working from home just now and logged on to my computer this morning and within 10 minutes of sitting on my chair had to lie on the floor as I was sure I was going to faint otherwise. I’ve had to ask my manager for the morning off to try and get this pain under control. Have taken naproxen and paracetamol but it’s not touching the pain at all. If anything the cramps are getting worse. Usually I find naproxen at least takes the edge of. Any tips, I don’t want to call my doctor given the current situation. I didn’t have any endo removed last month so unsure if this is connected to the lap or not. Sorry for the rant just needed to try and vent away some of this pain.

Post lap periods
You need the pill visanne but we cant get overseas drugs right now. I had some relief from cerazette. Please call you doc, or endo nurse, they can prescribe and there are lots of volunteers to deliver to you. Even post op, even if they cant find it, you need to prevent the periods. This will at least help you to function with little pain.
I had the same after my lap around a year ago, I think they say it can take a few months for them to settle. But mine haven't, they've been worse and much more painful since my lap, now waiting on an appointment at an endo specialist to see what's going on...
Sorry you're going through all of that and trying to work, absolutely awful trying to concentrate in so much pain :/
While you’re waiting to get professional help/advice get on amazon and buy an electric heat pad (mine was £20) I’m a month post lap and when the naproxen only reaches the edges the heat from the pad helps way more than a hot water bottle ever did. Sorry you’re feeling rough!
Thanks guys
