Mirena Coil- Advice please
Hi I have had the coil fitted and it’s been in just over a month- in this month I have been in the worst pain to the point where I’ve had to leave work and I am bleeding every other day. I know it takes time to settle in and I was prepared for the bleeding and everything else, but I was told to have

Endo affecting immunity
Hello, Just wondering, I know that during ovulation your immune system is weaker, but has anyone found that having endo also makes your immune system....crap!! I have the mirena coil and until recently hadn't had a period. I'm constantly getting flu, colds and viruses. I'm known as the 'sicky person'

Anyone's lives been changed by having a hysterectomy? Good? Bad?
Hi all, I'm curious to find out who has had hysterectomy (complete removal). I was diagnosed with endo at 23 (I'm 39 tomorrow). I've had several laparoscopies to laser endo, detach organs from one another etc, had zoladex, tried mirena coil (but my body rejected it and pushed it out). Nothing has worked

Utovlan (noresthisterone) & mirena for endometriosis?
Hi ladies! Hope your doing well. My GP has prescribed me Utovlan (noresthisterone) to take daily on top of my mirena coil. I have had the mirena in for nearly a year, my GP wants to eliminate me bleeding entirely which is why she has prescribed me the noresthisterone on top. In hopes that it will reduce

Endo again after Mirena
Hi all I'm 38 and was diagnosed with endometriosis in 2000 after 7 years of severe pain. I have been on the pill since then with my only break when I was having my daughter who is 5. Now I'm nearing 40 and my blood pressure has increased, they've took me off my old pill and inserted the Mirena coil

Being referred
Hi, I'm new here. I'm 45 and I've never been referred to a Gynaecologist despite my symptoms, but now at last I'm being referred. I'm feeling really upset and confused. Yesterday was my 3rd appointment to try to fit the mirena coil, hoping it would be 3rd time lucky, but no. My cervix is too scarred

Second time round
Hi All, I was diagnosed with Endo November last year via lap and had treatment (very small amount of Endo left Ovary kinda area). I have now been re-refferred to the specialist due to symptoms worsening again (Sorry if TMI but extremely painful sex, not so much pelvis but more cervix during penetration

Diagnosed with Stage 4 next step Synarel
Hi all. Had my follow up consultation with my gynaecologist on Friday following on from my lap and the news wasn’t great. I have severe endo (stage 4) which has basically fused most of the organs in the left side of my pelvis. Was shown my photos and the ‘disease’ was everywhere and the doc said that

Post op excision of endometriosis and had mirena inserted, still bleeding and experiencing pain
Hi guys, I was wondering if I could pick your brains. I had excision of rectovaginal endo, rectal shaving and insertion of mirena 6 weeks ago. They couldn't excise all of the endo as it has spread into the rectal margin and would affect my continence. I had been having zoladex beforehand (which was the

Exhausted and feeling rubbish.
I got diagnosed with likely endometriosis around 4 years ago (after 7 years of symptoms) and had my laparoscopy 18 months ago confirming it. Before my lap it was pretty bad, some days I couldn't walk, and I'd get so so tired in the days afterwards. Since my laparoscopy generally I've been a lot better

Hi ladies, It’s been a while since I’ve posted on here because the Mirena‘s been really amazing for me. But lately I’ve had something really weird happen lately. A bit of a back story, I’ve had bad pain, periods and ibs symptoms since I was 14. 3 years ago, when I was 22, l I was diagnosed with endo

Consented but changed my mind after research
I have consented to my surgery adhesiolysis and excision removal of endometriosis They asked me if I wanted the Mirena and I said yes but after researching it I don’t want it because it has the same hormone in it as microgynon and that didn’t agree with me. Can I still have my excision surgery if I

Burning
Hi all, I was diagnosed in April 2016 and had the mirena coil fitted in June 2017. I’ve always had pain on my left side but this has recently turned into a burning sensation or feels like a tightness. I was wondering whether anyone else had experienced this or anything similar? Any feedback would be

Waiting for diagnosis of Endo
Hi :) I don't know very much about endometriosis but have been told it could be what's causing my pain. I started my periods age 11 and they have always been painful and heavy from day one. My mum was worried so repeatedly took me to see my GP but we were told the same old thing it's "normal" you're

Awaiting docs appointment
Hi all, I'm new to the forum but really am in need of some advice so here goes. I will try not to be too embarrassed when explaining. I have a docs appointment in 2 weeks to discuss women's issues. I'm on my 2nd mirena coil as I've always suffered with heavy periods, cramps etc. I had the 2nd fitted
