Healthcare Professionals Refusing To Help Me Help Relieve My Symptoms.

Can the Mirena Coil cause fatigue/depression soon after insertion?
I am 6 days post lap surgery that treated endo & adenymiosis. The Mirena was placed in during surgery. It may be due to the op recovery, but I am feeling severely fatigued/groggy/woozy and could sleep all day. But Wondering, could this be Mirena side effects ? It’s making me quite stressed as I am healing

Could my symptoms be Endo?
Since I was 12 I've had extremely painful periods. I've been on the combined pill for 8 years now (I'm 25) and only have a break every 3 months to reduce pain. I've also been on several types of prescribed painkillers and medication for years. Prior to the pandemic I had been referred to get the mirena

Endometriosis and getting pregnant
Hi there, I was diagnosed with endometriosis in 2019 where I had surgery and got the mirena IUD fitted. I am now thinking about trying to get pregnant and wondered if anyone has been in this situation? Any recomendations? Thanks

Bleeding after mirena removal
*TMI warning!* I had my mirena removed on Friday after having it for 14 months. I have been passing blood clots approx every 30 mins since. Has anyone else experienced this? The nurse said to get in touch if I was bleeding heavily after the removal. I'm not flooding or going through pads, however I am

Scared ultrasound will be normal and my pain will be dismissed
So after months of battling with my GP surgery for a referral, I finally spoke to a gynaecologist 2 weeks ago. She has said she wants to do a pelvic and abdominal ultrasound which is booked in for next week. However she mentioned in my appointment that because I don’t have pain during sex (however I

Anyone trying Mirena (levonorgestrel) & Cerazette (desogestrel) together?
Hi, Is there anyone trying Mirena (levonorgestrel) and mini pill Cerazette (desogestrel) together? I have endometriosis (stage IV), and it floored me, and left me in so much pain last month that I couldn't think or talk. I had two trips to the A&E by ambulance. Now, I have a true fear of my period coming

AMH Tests
Hi All, Just a question regarding AMH testing - has anyone had this done in the UK with their GP or have you had this done elsewhere? I'm considering getting a test done but i've never had one before and wonder a) how accurate these results will be b) is it worth doing? I have Endometriosis, was diagnosed

HI IM NEW HERE
Sorry in advance for the long post but here is a rough outline of my story the last 16 years I got diagnosed with endometriosis when I was 15years old after an 18 month battle with over 5 doctors and gynaecologists whom all told me I was too young to have it as it's not in my family. Before being diagnosed

Why do people believe BSGE are ‘experts’ or in fact ‘understand’
I have been under a BSGE consultant for nigh on 5 years, and I can tell you, the sh*t is still the same! There is NO difference, other than, they have a team of surgeons if you’re an advanced, complex case, that needs a team of surgeons! But the emphasis is the same, and so is the treatment on offer,

Newly Diagnosed + New Hormones
So after years of symptoms I finally had surgery in Jan 2021 where I had confirmation I do have Endometriosis.....what a relief! The surgery removed all the endometriosis (ovaries, fallopian tubes, bowel). I was on a double dose of progesterone pre surgery for 3 years(ish) and I have now come off this

Bleeding after sex
I have every symptom of endometriosis but have not yet managed to get a diagnosis. I have recently had an urgent referral to the gynaecologist as I have been bleeding after sex for a while now and have experienced a lot of pain during and after sex as well. The gynaecologist asked me a couple of questions

So tired!
I am so tired, like proper fatigue, arms and legs feel heavy and can't concentrate on much for long. I do get this every now and then and have to go to bed for a few hours but this feels like it's lasted all week. I am technically on my period week but tend not to really bleed since having a mirena

Advice about referral and the right thing to say
I really need advice on what to ask my GP for to get my issue solved. I have had lower abdominal pain and discomfort for about 2 and a half years. February 2020 I went to my doctor about it. I described: fatigue, bloating, period cramps when it wasn't my period, painful ovaries, periods every 22 days

Does anyone have experience of the Mirena reducing back pain?
Does anyone have any experience of the Mirena coil improving constant pain rather than just cyclical pain? I had an internal ultrasound yesterday and the doctor said she didn’t see any obvious signs of disease and gave me no other advice other than just to try the mirena. I was pretty disappointed with

Mirena IUD
Interested to know if a Mirena IUD is safe to have if you have Nash. I have read conflicting reports. I have only just had it inserted but apparently the hormones can have an affect on the liver?? I would have researched it prior but after having post menopausal bleeding I was ushered into hospital without

Follow up after op. Not sure what to do next now?! Any advice?
Feel really frustrated and I don’t know if I’m being unreasonable or if it’s just because I’m so deflated about the whole situation. So had my follow up today after having my op done early December to remove deep Endo. Basically to cut a long story short I’m still in pain all of the time literally

New stage 4 diagnosis
Hey guys, I’m new here having just been diagnosed with stage 4 endo and adenomyosis. Having laparoscopic surgery for this in under 2 weeks and a mirena coil fitted. I’m 25 and concerned about starting a family with my boyfriend. Does anyone have any positives or any advice to help preserve my fertility
