Heavy Periods
Went to GP today (on a Sunday 👍🏼) and asked for tranexamic tablets again to help with heavy periods. He said I could have them but not for long term use and suggested marina coil (no chance) or mini pill. I told him I had recently started taking liothyronine and hoping this will help my periods. Unlikely

Advice please
Hi, I had been told that I have suspected endometriosis as I am too big to have it checked properly, I was fitted with the mirena coil 3 months ago and literally had to take two weeks off work as I was in such agony from it. It took more than 8 weeks to be able to carry on as normal and I’m still not

Is the Mirena Coil giving my daughter mood swings, depression.
My lovely bouncy happy daughter was given the pill as soon as she was 16 by a different doctor. I had no idea but noticed a complete change in her, she suddenly had outbursts, nagging me, nothing was right, arguing, fighting with her brother. I only found out as I found the box of pills. She has been

Heavy bleeding??
It's been a while, thankfully since I've suffered with the heavy bleeding aspect of endo as I had a coil insitu for 4 years. I've had it removed to TTC with my partner. I'm not sure if what I'm experiencing constitutes heavy bleeding or not but this is my first period since the coil removal and when

Trying for a baby after diagnosis
Hi all, I've not posted here for a while now as I'm guilty of only posting when I need advice rather than to give advice, I need to stop that! I was diagnosed 2 years ago with endo and immediately had the mirena coil in and all my symptoms disappeared and were like that for just over a year and a half

How to come to terms?
Sorry if this sounds like whiney moan but I’m not sure who else would understand. I have a 10 year old son (so I know I’m incredibly lucky already and I’m so grateful to have him) but we’ve always wanted to give him a sibling. Husband and I started trying for number 2 in 2011 and nothing happened. We

Pain with mirena and endo
A bit of back story. I've not got an official diagnosis of endometriosis yet but it's suspected. I have had an ultrasound that didn't show anything. And an MRI that I'm waiting for the results of. My next appointment with the gynecologist is end of September. It was suggested in my last appointment

Boss not being very understanding about recurrence of endo
Hello I had an laparoscopy in January to excise endo from bowels, rectum, uterus, and a large endometrioma which burst during surgery on my left ovary. I was off for 7 weeks. Coil removal and severe blood loss help :(
I had my Mirena coil out after having it put in during my lap in February so I’ve not had it too long. I had it removed on Friday just gone. Yesterday and today my bleeding has been SO bad. Today I put a max night pad on and it was soaked through within 45 min, I was utterly shocked so called dr.

Mirena Coil
Hey, I'm new here and only recently found out about endometriosis and although not officially diagnosed pretty sure I have it as it matches all my symptoms. I've never been interested in hormonal contraception, the concept of putting that alters a natural process so strongly really freaked me out. But

Consultation with Dr Edi-Osiage
Hi ladies I have a 1 hr consultation with Dr edi-osage in a week or two at st Mary's in Manchester. I have spent 2 years post lap in pain because all my gynae did was diagnose endo and discharge me. They didn't take anything away because of its location, apparently on the bowel. They put the mirena

Pelvic Inflammatory Disease after chlamydia?
I got a mirena coil this week for bad period pain and the doctor did an sti test at the same time. It came back positive for chlamydia. I have not had sex in a year so I have had it for at least this long, and I would say maximum a year and a half, as I think this is when I last had a sti test (which

Doubling up!
Hi everyone I've been diagnosed with endo and fibroid. Currently my periods last almost 2 weeks and come every 2 weeks. I've already got the mirena coil and just started additionally taking the mini pill to try and reduce the duration. Has anyone else tried this? Any success? Any issues?

Mirena Coil Advice Please
Hi....I’m having my 2nd Laparoscopy next week and had my consenting meeting today. My consultant offered me the Mirena coil which I declined as I have heard horror stories from people who have tried it but they don’t have endo. What is everyone’s experience with this? Is it worth me giving it a try?
