2 1/2 years ago had the Mirena coil surgically removed. It had become imbedded in the muscle of the womb. Since then have had irregular periods. Prescribed the mini pill 6 months ago. Thankfully Cancer ruled out. Irregular menstrual bleeding has continued; past four months I've bled daily. Again thankfully

Mirena
Just wondering has anyone had the mirena coil as a way to try help with symptoms. If so did your skin become incredibly itchy? I’m 2 weeks post laparoscopy and 2 weeks post mirena coil fitting, but my body is so itchy I’m itching till I bleed. If anyone has had a similar experience what did you do that

Positive story - regaining health & body confidence (w/ photo)
Hi Ladies, Hope you are all well (or as well as can be). Just wanted to share with you a positive story as I feel it's just as important to talk about the good things that can come from this evil disease. Having had my 2nd laparoscopy in November (for grade 4 rectovaginal endo) and having a few months

How to get the right help?
My 26 year old daughter has been diagnosed with Endometriosis and is also being referred for investigations for suspected Inflammatory Bowel Disease. Has suffered from age 11 and just been diagnosed 6 months ago. Suffers migraines, depression and can't take contraceptive pill due to suspected clot

Endometriosis or hypothyroid? Both?
Hi all, I was diagnosed with an under active thyroid in 2015, and have been fairly stable since 2016, until now. My most recent bloods have come back on the low side of normal (although last time my bloods never actually went outside normal range). Plus, I had my first laparoscopy finally confirming

Mirena
Hey guys! I’m on my third Mirena. I love it but I haven’t had a period in 11 years! My dr said it’s completely fine not to have one. Has anyone else experienced no periods at all on the Mirena.

Mirena coil: allergic reaction
Wanted to post on here to make people aware that despite the low incident rate of 1 in 100 patients having an allergic reaction to the Mirena IUS, it does happen. I had just had one! Here's a quick description of me & my symptoms so people can note what an allergic reaction to Mirena hormonal coil looks

Just need to talk...
Hi! I was diagnosed with endo about three years ago but now I feel as though my symptoms are getting worse and I’m not sure how to cope. My legs are so achy. These cramps come over me unexpectedly and only last a little while but it’s so painful. Do you get these? I find a hot water bottle helps me

Mirena Coil
Could anyone give me some advice about mirena coil. I’ve been offered that or prostap injections and I’m unsure which one is better. I have endo and adenomyosis. I get quite bad migraines when my hormone levels are raised and I’m worried about the mirena coil as it releases hormones all the time. Any

TMI sex question 😂
So, I’m on the journey to being diagnosed, with many symptoms- from pain to fatigue to bowel and bladder issues. Sex has not normally caused me pain during unless it is very deep, at which point I thought most women suffered-nobody wants a bruised cervix 😆 but over the last 18 months pain after sex

I am wanting to have a mirena coil put in but I'm in a lot of pain at the moment. Do you think I could have the coil put in under anaesthetic? I'm 16

Estradot, HRT, Cysts
So after 3 weeks of agonising pain, an Urgent Care Visit, 111 calls and finally an appointment with my consultant on Tuesday it turns out I have a cyst on my right ovary that's potentially leaking. Most likely due to the Mirena coil, but have been prescribed Estradot patches which is essentially HRT

Did your surgeon tell you they removed the mirena, completely, but never found it , and it was still inside you perforated for 6 years?
I had an endometriosis removal surgery seven years ago and a week later after this operation my surgeon inserted the mirena. I went back to the surgeon in 1 and half weeks to have it removed. I was told by the surgeon he removed it. Seven years later i find out that it was still inside me. I suffered

Dam night sweats!!
Been having them for a year now. Diagnosed for hypothyroidism in Jan. Was on 25mcg levothyroxine, been on 75mcg for 4 weeks. Monster night sweats. Low mood. Tired. Can't concentrate. Feel no different to when I originally went to Gp. I thought I was perimenopausal. Blood tests said different but I have
