Thyroid related?
I’m 7yrs diagnosed with Hypothyroidism, and just had my iud copper coil of 9yrs changed to a Mirena ius... but whilst fitting I’ve been told my uterus is now 11-12cm in length instead of the average 7-8cm... anyone else been told this? Or found this after thyroid diagnosis? I’m worried & not worried

Mirena Pain?
Hi everybody. On Wednesday last week I had my first laparoscopy surgery and whilst I was under after a lot of months of trying to convince me to get the Mirena coil, I caved and got it. I have heard many side effects of it... however, since having it inserted 5 days ago, I have NOT bled at all, the

How did you get diagnosed and how long did it take?
I've had numerous doctors appointments, a gynaecologist appointment and ongoing symptoms for a number of years. Doctors have suggested endometriosis to me on more than one occasion but I don't seem to be getting any further than that. Most recently the gynaecologist suggested a mirena coil and I'm not

Melancholy Musician with Endo; Living with endless decision making drains your spirit.
Hi team, I have a really difficult decision on my hands, and I thought some of you would relate. This comes 3 and a bit weeks after my lap removed endo on my UV fold, left side of pelvic wall, and a nodule on one ovary. They also left in some on my ureter as they needed my consent to take that out separately

Is this normal?
Hi guys, first post here. I had a laparoscopic endo excision 2 and a half months ago where they also diagnosed me with Adenomyosis and inserted a IUD mirena at the time of the operation. My first period post op lasted 3 weeks and I had pain the whole time. My second post op period was incredibly painful

First period after extensive lap and mirena insertion - should I brace myself?
Hi Ladies, I know everyone is different, but I wondered what your experiences of this are... I've got to decide tomorrow whether to take a (quite exciting) work trip to Canada on the 13th Feb. I'm scared that I will be lumbered with pains which will be hard to push through, as I have to be energetic

Laparoscopy 12 years ago - inconclusive marina coil - removed due to it growing into the side of my uterus Ablation

Endo & Colon
Hi all, I had both fallopian tubes removed in January 2018 and had the Mirena Coil fitted to help with periods as I've never had a pregnancy and the consultant advised to have it fitted. She also diagnosed endo (but didn't specify exactly where) after the op, it was the first time I'd been diagnosed

Mirena coil, only one string?
Hi ladies, I got my mirena coil fitted on thursday (24th).. Last night I done a check and I can only find one string after having a good feel around, It was pretty easily detected so i'm not really sure where the other one is? Is this a cause for concern? or has it maybe just curled up? My pain levels

Marina side affects ?
Hey, has anyone suffered with horrific hearth burn/ acid reflux with the Marina coil? My gyne said it’s not related but it reminds me of when I was pregnant and feeling like I feel sick if I’m not eating 😣 Thanks

Struggling after lap
Hi all, I am 12 days post lap (9 places of endo excised throughout pelvis and ovary freed from bowel, uterus freed from pelvis) and I’m struggling with pain still. I think I’m more worried as I read so much about how I should be recovering now not getting worse. I’m getting a lot of pain where my ovary

Bleeding after laparoscopy
Hi, I had my first laparoscopy on the 3rd Jan this year. I had a cyst and endometriosis removed along with my cervix cauterised to thicken the skin and remove a cervical ectropion (think that’s how you spell it!). I also had the mirena coil inserted. Since then I’ve had constant heavy bleeding to

Advice about discharge and coil.
Hi all, I’ve been having some troubles over the past month involving losing a brown discharge and orange spotting, a slight pain once I’ve passed urine and some cramping. I’ve had swabs taken by doctors including sti checks but everything has come back normal but I feel as though something isn’t right
