Hi all,
I had both fallopian tubes removed in January 2018 and had the Mirena Coil fitted to help with periods as I've never had a pregnancy and the consultant advised to have it fitted. She also diagnosed endo (but didn't specify exactly where) after the op, it was the first time I'd been diagnosed with that!
I have always had very painful and heavy periods and have been on the pill from the age of 15 specifically for my periods but endo was never mentioned before and because I've always had heavy/painful periods I knew no better.
Over the past 3 months I've gained weight and seem to be bloated all of the time. My partners granddaughter asked me if I was pregnant! I should also say I am only 40, eat fairly healthily and go to the gym 2-3 times a week. At my worst I do look about 4 months pregnant and none of my clothes fit me.
I've been to my gp and she has referred me back to the gynae and also for a colonoscopy to rule out bowel issues.
I seem to be tired all the time and have little/no motivation to do things. I'm called Monica (from Friends!) at home because I'm always cleaning and organised but even day to day cleaning is a chore (pardon the pun!) and I need to talk myself into doing it.
I have constant pain/discomfort in both hips and lower back.
Apart from the endo/bowel issues I have no other health problems - thankfully- but its really starting to get me down.
Any suggestions to lift the mood, help with the pain would be much appreciated.
Thanks a mil
Mags
