Mirena and depo at the same time?!
Hi everyone! I’ve been on depo since July last year and about 5 weeks ago had the mirena fitted. About a week after that I had another depo shot because the doctors recommended I stay on it. I’ve been bleeding constantly for about 5 weeks and the last couple of weeks I’ve had bad headaches... wondering

Pain 3 weeks after laparoscopy?
I had my laparoscopy 3 weeks ago tomorrow and had ablation on my endometriosis and a cyst drained on my left ovary. I know that it’s still early days but I’m just wondering if it’s normal to be having bad cramps??? I’m not feeling nauseous, but just stabbing pain cramps around my belly almost winding

Life after Surgery
Morning Ladies, I just wanted to find out from people in general what their experiences have been like since having surgery? I had my lap nearly two years ago (July 2017) and then I had the mirena coil as a way to prevent my endometriosis from coming back post surgery. I have since decided to remove

Never told what stage endo I have!
Hi everyone, I was diagnosed and treated three years ago and fitted with the Mirena coil while having surgery to remove my endometrisois. My surgery was incredibly successful and until June 2018 I had absolutely no flare-ups at all. I went on to live a perfectly normal life and completely forgot I had

mirena removal bleeding...
Hi everyone, I had the mirena put in during my diagnostic lap for endo back in September. After alot of thinking, I decided to get it removed due to the side effects. This was a difficult decision as it did really slow my periods down. I got it removed on Monday and on Wednesday started heavy bleeding

Mirena coil and side effects
I've had the mirena coil fitted for just over a month and I've been suffering a bit with it. I have been experiencing quite severe cramping pretty much since I had it fitted and I have been taking naproxen and codine, as these are the only painkillers that work for me. I have also been spotting since

Can the mirena coil help endo fatigue? Feeling desperate.
Hi ladies, I'm at my wits end. Endo fatigue is taking over my life. I've been signed off work for the past five weeks and can't see an end to the severe exhaustion I've been experiencing since the start of the year. I'm not able to use the pill (combined or mini) to manage my endo as they don't agree

Fibroids seen with ultrasound but not hysteroscopy
Has anybody had any experience of this? I'm 51 and was diagnosed with 4 fibroids last November from an internal ultrasound and then the same was confirmed with an external ultrasound in January. The largest fibroid was 4.5cm but in both cases they said the endometrium didn't seem very thick. This was

Pelvic tenderness and fever during period months after lap, could it be PID?
Hi, I got diagnosed with moderate endometriosis 6 months ago after having my first lap in which the gynaecologist said he "removed it all". I also had the Mirena coil inserted during the surgery. Couple weeks after the surgery I started getting really heavy watery discharge that has a foul smell. This

Period and holiday
I go to Thailand a week on Friday and still haven’t had my period this month. I do have the mirena in but I have been having monthly periods since I got it in September. I don’t know if my periods are just stopping now but I don’t want to risk being on my period on holiday. Is there anything I could

Jaydess coil
Update on a post I made about 7 months ago. I tried out a Jaydess coil, which has been interesting. Background - I'm 29, never had kids. Suspected endo due to bad period pains and severe pain on pooing during my period. No laparoscopy. The reason I chose the Jaydess over the Mirena was its smaller size

Mirena help-post coital bleeding
Hey, I’ve had the Mirena coil in place for over 5 months. I’m bleeding a lot more and currently on day 19. Any break I get we manage some intimacy ( carefully as can be very painful) and afterwards I’m back to bleeding. I’ve had enough of having to wear tampons 24/7. I’m spending more time bleeding
