3 weeks on from lap: period, crap stitches, low mood, ups and downs etc
Hello everyone, I hope you're all keeping well and making progress with your journeys through the endo experience... I wanted to post an update as I've been on a bit of an interesting ride since my operation. The first week I felt better than I ever dreamed I would, with no shoulder tip and minimal

Trying to get pregnant
Hi, I had the mirena coil removed in October and I have trying to become pregnant since with no luck so far. This morning I started my period, for the first time since the removal of the coil I have had period pain and symptoms like I used to have before the coil. Has anyone experienced it taking a while

Rushed into Hospital
Hi girls, I’ve been rushed into hospital with extreme sweating, going hot and cold, being sick and in extreme agony in my pelvic area. It’s 4 days since I had my laparoscopy where they diagnosed stage 3 Endometriosis and painful bladder syndrome. I thought that would be the start of the end to my pain

Mirena Coil Questions
Hi all, I was diagnosed with Endometriosis in March '19 after undergoing a laparoscopy. Three weeks ago a large part of my womb lining fell out and I was taken back in to hospital, where I was advised to get the Coil fitted. So two days ago I had the Mirena Coil implanted and have been in agony since

Laparoscopy on zoladex
Hi ladies, I had a laparoscopy on Tuesday for endometriosis, everything looked fairly normal but I’ve been on zoladex for 5 months and had my last injection only a couple of days before surgery. I’m thinking that the zoladex and Mirena are going to make the endometriosis practically invisible? Is this

First appointment with Endo Specialist, any tips?
Hello all, hope you ladies are getting through the day! I finally have my initial appointment with the specialist today, and he's the head of the endometriosis centre here so I am hoping he'll listen and take me seriously as this endo has taken over my life now, and my husbands and children's lives really

Interstitial Cystitis (painful bladder syndrome), FODMAP diet and Endometriosis
I had my first laparoscopy yesterday. My surgeon found a lot more Endometriosis than she was expecting as I was previously diagnosed with it from an MRI scan but not all of it showed up on that. It was found in the pouch of Douglas, between my womb and bowel, around my bladder, and around the front of

Best pill for people sensitive to Mirena coil?
Hi everyone, it's my first post here - hoping some of you can help! I've been trying to manage my endo just using herbal remedies for the last six months, but I've decided that it's not working for me enough to continue. I have also modified my diet somewhat (by cutting out gluten, dairy and red meat

Contraception after surgery? No advice given
Hi I had a lap 2 weeks ago where they found deep infiltrated endo in multiple places. They asked me at the time of surgery if I wanted the mirena but as I've had it before and it didn't agree with me I said no. I've not had any kind of hormones in my body for at least a year now. I wasnt given any advice

How long until I feel some relief?
Hi all, had my first laparoscopy just over 3 weeks ago and they confirmed and treated endo on my pelvic wall, drained an ovarian cyst, inserted the Mirena and confirmed that I have a polycystic ovary. I had to go to the walk in centre a couple of days ago as my belly button wound became infected, so

Biopsy results negative
So 2.5 weeks ago I had my diagnostic laparoscopy where they cut away adhesions from my right ovary, tube and bowel. I also had marina coil fitted and biopsies done. Today I got my biopsy results back and they're all negative. I'm not seeing specialist for 6 more months. However I'm still in pain all

24 hours later - diagnostic laparoscopy
I had lap yesterday to diagnose and treat endo and put in Mirena coil. I was admitted 7am and was very fortunate to be first on the list so was in surgery by 8.30am. They put me in a gown and compression stockings and my consultant popped by on his way in to say hello and confirm what would be done.

Is endometriosis cured once you had had surgery to remove it?
At my follow up meeting at my gp he advised the cyst has been removed and that is it away. He said I was probably born with the tissue that has grown over the years to cause a cyst but now its been removed via laparoscopic surgery I should now be cured?! I asked how they will know if it's going to grow

I have had the Mirena for just over just over 2 months now and everything was going great, no pain or periods, until the end of last month
