Hi sorry to hear your having trouble unfortunately it can take a while i had pain and bleeding non stop for 3 months after having the coil put in and no of other people that have aswell. I even went to the drs and asked for it out in that 3 months and they said stick with it for 6 months as it can take that long to settle down

Thanks for the reply I don’t think I could last for six months the pain is worse than any period I have ever had but feel better it’s know it’s normal was thinking something was wrong like it was fitted wrong thank you

It made mine worse I was on 100 painkillers a month now I'm on 240 sometimes more even though I shouldn't and when I'm on my period nothing works I take painkillers use a tens machine and use tiger balm while I'm on, I used to use hot water bottles until they scared my stomach 🙄 next step for me is a hysterectomy 🤞 hope you stay pain free for a while x

Well they said at my last appointment if the coil doesn’t work hysterectomy is the next step on been on the implant for 3 months and that has been amazing just wish I hadn’t got the coil in cause it’s set me way back but hopefully now it’s out I can go back to pain free when am waiting on a hysterectomy and get my life back thanks for sharing your story it makes me feel better other people are in the same pain and it’s not just me past few years I have been starting to think no one believes me cause if u aren’t going though it it’s hard to explain to people how bad it is they just think it’s only a period 🤦‍♀️x

I know how you feel they look at you like your crazy and if you cancel a day out they think your making a excuse not to go anywhere, because they can't see it or feel it it's like it's not there oh I feel your pain and the looks we get, I feel like slapping some people especially when they say oh you can have a day off your painkillers and come have a drink with me 🙄🙄 x

I know my friends are like that they don't understand, haha I don't want to sound horrible but I'd like them to experience it just for a day so they know what it's like daily for me 😂 my family are good though because they know I don't usually moan about anything but this god I piss myself off moaning about it 😂 x

Hi, I’m sorry you are in pain, I had a Mirena coil fitted 2 and a half weeks ago during my lap and have had bad pain since in my lower left abdomen and also across my uterus. It got a lot worse a few days ago and my GP sent me to A&E, they thought the coil may have moved out of place and did some tests/scans (was really painful internally when they checked) but it was in its normal place and everything came back ok, they have given me mefenemic acid and codrydamol to take for 1 week and said wait and see what happens. It definitely takes the edge off but hasn’t stopped the pain completely but we shall see! I hope you can get checked out and that they they can help x

I don't blame you. That happen ed to me a few years ago. I been told to have done again or they won't help me. As I can't have a hysterectomy even though I need one.
