Never told what stage endo I have!

Hi everyone, I was diagnosed and treated three years ago and fitted with the Mirena coil while having surgery to remove my endometrisois. My surgery was incredibly successful and until June 2018 I had absolutely no flare-ups at all. I went on to live a perfectly normal life and completely forgot I had endo I felt so great (very lucky I know!)

Sadly, it's come back with a bloody vengeance and I'm on the waiting list for another surgery. However, I was never told what stage endometriosis I had or what happened during my surgery. I see a lot of people on here discuss this and I'm wondering when you were told? I do remember the surgeon coming to see me, but I was so off my face on morphine that I have no idea what he said. My family were there at the time, but they can't remember either. Is this something that would be in my medical records that I could request from my doctor or is it a special surgery summary I need to obtain? As I'm going through this all again and I feel it's significantly more painful with more horrendous additional symptoms I'm interested to learn what I had last time. I'm in the UK and had my surgery on the NHS.

I’m in a similar situation; i had endo removal a couple of years ago and I don’t remember being told what stage it was.

I was private rather than nhs but am wondering if this info may be with our gp’s?

Hey! As far as I understand: In terms of staging it depends where the endo is and how much there is of it. This link may be helpful I came across it while trying to understand endo more. Move the video along to 8mins onwards to find out about staging. If you have documents from your Lap you may be able to figure it out or you could go back to your GP with the documents and ask them x hope this helps
