Bleeding after mirena removal

*TMI warning!*

I had my mirena removed on Friday after having it for 14 months. I have been passing blood clots approx every 30 mins since. Has anyone else experienced this?

The nurse said to get in touch if I was bleeding heavily after the removal. I'm not flooding or going through pads, however I am going to the loo literally every 15-30 mins and bleeding clots approx the size of a 50p.

Any advice would be welcomed!
