Does anyone have any experience of the Mirena coil improving constant pain rather than just cyclical pain? I had an internal ultrasound yesterday and the doctor said she didn’t see any obvious signs of disease and gave me no other advice other than just to try the mirena. I was pretty disappointed with this outcome as I’d waited a year for that appointment and have been in pain everyday for a couple of years now. I’m going to go see a pelvic physio privately, but would really love to know if anyone has had a big improvement in their pain from the coil? Just to note my pain is mainly in my lower back, hips and legs. Thanks!

Does anyone have experience of the Mirena reducing back pain?
I have had the mirena coil twice and I felt it did not make my pain go away, it actually remained and made my moods change dramatically. There is a lot of research out there on how the mirena coil has ruined a lot of women’s lives due to them no longer recognising themselves anymore. I am living proof of one of them. I had my Gp insist it wasn’t the mirena coil because it is designed to release the hormone only in the uterus, well, it’s incorrect. Before you put anything in your body, make sure you do some research on it first! In regards to no endo shown on the ultrasound. Have the doctor refer you back again to have a transvaginal ultrasound. It’s a wand which is inserted inside the vaginal to scan internally. I had ultrasounds on my pelvic and my endo was not seen. They could see a lot more with the transvaginal ultrasound and when they opened me up for my op, they saw a lot more lol
I hope this information is useful to you, good luck x
