Hello, I'm Brooke! I have been diagnosed with endo for more than 15+ years. I have always have had heavy flow periods but always have had the cyst passed or they havent grown enough to do something about them..

I have recently had a child 15months ago, 2 months later i had the mirena placed to help with endo and contraceptive. I started bleeding very heavily for 4 months very regularly, having breaks for 3-4 days then bleeding. My doctor has currently placed me on Yasmin pill to help stop bleeding till i have my next ultrasound to get the growth of the cysts, but i am worried that being on 2 contraceptions is putting me in a world of hurt. Just looking for other women who share the same experiences that can help me make sense of this.

Hi Brooke, although I can't advise specifically on the two contraceptives you are on, I can say that I have been on two contraceptives for over a year, now. Of course you must go by what your doctor says. I had the Implant, but that was doing me no favours. The doctor said I could take the desogestrel (Cerazette) pill at the same time which they said will completely override the Implant, and they said I could have the Implant removed at my leisure. I have not experienced anything out of the ordinary with being on two types. Hope this helps, even though every body is different! x
